Hope none of you in the US ever have to go through what gun owners here in NZ are going through right now. It's almost a certainty at this point that we are going to lose the right to our semi automatic Firearms. Our prized possessions are going to be taken from us. I only wish I could gift my AR's and pistols to one of you rather than them be destroyed.??????

Is there a 2A for you guys? I don’t know and asked it in one of the threads and didn’t get a response.

It's pretty easy to take them away when it was never a right in the eyes of your government. Best of luck to you guys over there.

Yea, I am seriously considering a move to the US If all of the proposed bans go through.
|
|
When it’s time to bury them, it’s time to dig them up.
Sorry, OP. |

got a local boy turned new zealander trying to figure out how to get his one semi auto, a nylon 66, back home so it won't be destroyed
fuck that noise |
|
Disassemble and send them to us. Pack them well. No one will know.

No way to plug the gas port and turn it into a UK style rifle?

The problem with my situation is I am 1 of only 3% of firearms licence holders NZ with a licence to own an AR15 with no restrictions like magazine size or anything like that. It also means my AR is registered with the police, so they know I have it. People can that buy an AR with a standard licence have to have a thumbhole stock and 7rnd magazine max. All guns bought on a standard licence aren't registered so they're all gonna go underground.

Just spoke with some NZ guys at the conference I was at the last couple day. Sadly your fellow country men are not on your side. They are blindly ok with having the government dictate their rights depending on which way the wind is blowing. I got "oh it's just the semi-automatic", I replied with almost all guns are semiautomatic. He was surprised and didn't know or care.

... if you MUST surrender them, remember to ONLY give them the bare receiver
