They gave you an excellent whiskey.  Green Spot is a fine pour.

My favorite right now.

For me it's VERY green apple on the nose and taste, on top of that buttery shortbread.  Like green apple skin.

I really enjoy just sniffing the glass.

Some prefer Green and others Yellow.  I like both.  I would suggest starting with the Green as this is what the OP is discussing.  It's darn good!

It's a Mobil station now. Yeah, seeing Yellow Spot other places I'm seeing $100-$120. 2nd cheapest was $90 and it was only one place. I fent . Whenever I get my trump bucks ima go back down and get 3 more bottles at that price. I'll be set for decades.

I'd only be good for 3 weeks.  Five, max.

Be a hell of a ride, though.

$39.99 at Costco. Limited item for the St Paddy's Day season.

I'm enjoying it so far. My "go to" is Bushmills Black Bush. I feel like the Bushmills is smoother, but the Green Spot has a much more robust, intense, and unique flavor. I definitely like it and would drink it again.

For the record, I've been pouring a few ounces of it in a whiskey glass, adding two ice cubes (reverse osmosis water), and enjoying.

Sláinte!

A local store had two bottles of Blue   I didn’t get one, regretted it, went back the next day and they were gone. So I bought the Jameson 18. They’re going to get in some Red and my number is at the top of the list.

A buddy told me about red a year or so ago and finally found one a few months back (pic bottle almost gone).  My search was halfassed but I was thinking it was a bit of a unicorn.  A couple weeks back just before Irish xmas I saw the blue on the self.  Was completely unaware or it's existence so I grabbed two and scored the other red as it was behind the counter.  We crushed one of the blues on Paddy's,  it was agreed by all present that I should have brought the other one as well

Another buddy gave me a new bottle of the Jameson 18 (your pic) a few months back because I helped him out with something.  I haven't seen it in a decade and the packaging is new.  Now that I know it's commanding that price tag I think I'll have him over for a drink

Is Middleton still the tier 1 Irish?  We used to kill that stuff on sight.

If you can find the original run (red oak box) of Jameson Vintage grab it.  You won't be disappointed
