Rescued, been in the house a couple of days, loves my daughter. Follows her everywhere,  very well behaved and calm. Current GSD became very aggressive and attacked him unprovoked. Hes been around other dogs in the home long term and never a problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Could be a case of territorial establishment.  I would YouTube/Google something along the lines of, 'our dog attacks new dog'

It's a little late, but did you have the dogs familiarize themselves with each other at a neutral site first?
