![]() ![]() https://www.beretta.com/en-us/a300-ultima-patrol-black/ Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol users manual MSRP: $1099 Street Price: Approx $850 to $950 for pre-orders Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol LE Model 12ga Semi Automatic Shotgun with Standard Stock & 7+1 19.1” Barrel Colors available: J32CT11 - Black J32CG11 - Grey Tri-tone J32CS11 - Tiger Stripe MC (limited edition) Tentative Release Date: 28FEB23 Description The A300 Ultima Patrol is a tactical version of one of Beretta’s most popular hunting shotguns. Similar to its hunting counterpart, the A300 Ultima Patrol utilizes a semiautomatic gas-operated action with a compensating exhaust valve, self-cleaning piston, and a chrome-lined barrel. The short, 19 ½” barrel gives it a compact size and makes it ideal for engaging targets while in confined spaces. It’s CQC capabilities are enhanced even further thanks to a 7-round extended magazine tube for some extra firepower and a modular ghost-ring rear sight for fast target acquisition. In addition to its effectiveness in close-quarters, the A300 Ultima Patrol was built to be extremely reliable and easy to use. It sports a large textured bolt release, an oversized charging handle, and a hefty safety button that can be switched from side to side. The amplified checkering around the grip and fore-end ensures the operator will have a consistent grip on the weapon, even when wearing gloves. Aside from its ease of use and close range capabilities, the A300 Ultima Patrol is a highly customizable platform. A receiver mounted MIL-STD Picatinny rail allows for the installation of optics, and M-LOK attachment points on the forend and barrel clamp accommodates the use of tactical lights/lasers. Features of the A300 Ultima Patrol: Gas-operated action with compensating exhaust valve & self-cleaning piston 7-round extended magazine tube Modular ghost ring rear sight & interchangeable front sight post Oversized textured bolt release, charging handle, & safety button Amplified checkering around the grip & fore-end Receiver mounted MIL-STD Picatinny rail M-LOK attachment points on the forend & barrel clamp Specifications Action:Semiautomatic - Gas Operated Gauge:12 Gauge Max Shell Length:3" Length of Pull (LOP):13" Weight:7.1 lbs Magazine Capacity:7 + 1 Barrel Length:19.1" Overall Length:38" Choke:MOBILE Type of Sights:Modular Ghost Ring Rear Sight Interchangeable Front Sight Post Caliber or Gauge:12ga Handedness: Right UPC082442959849 MPNJ32CG11 Pre-release speculation (before we had details): Shot Show starts 17JAN23 so we should know more soon. This will be the less expensive version of the 1301. I’ll guess between $900 and $1000 in comparison to the 1301 $1400. All info was gleaned from instructors that met a Beretta engineer at a shotgun class. Posted here: https://pistol-forum.com/showthread.php?55350-Had-a-little-something-interesting-show-up-in-class-this-past-weekend The 1301 is not being discontinued. My assumption is this new shotgun will be to the 1301 as the A300 is to the A400. Thanks to @John_Wayne777 for bringing us this information. |

I’m stumped on what they could be doing to make it cheaper other than just cutting the price. It has all of the aftermarket doo dads on it.
And as someone who bought a 1301 in the last six months, it’s gonna make me sad. |

You can’t even find 1301 Tacticals for the Beretta MSRP of $1429 They are usually $1500 or more. I’ll be watching the roll out of this new shotgun which is suppose to coincide with SHOT 2023.

Beretta has contracted to Turkey for budget models a few times. Possibly some of the only good guns to ever come out of Turkey.
If it’s a rebrand and not a Beretta designed product, hard pass. If it’s Beretta designed and spec but made in Turkey, it might actually be decent. |

The magazines are just too damn big. The solution is a new rimless 12 ga. cartridge that takes advantage of modern ammunition technology. But a new caliber is one of the hardest things to sell to shooters. There was an American company making a rimless 12 ga. Based on an ar10 receiver. I can’t recall the name but they were not successful IIRC. ETA: The RAS-12 gun and ammunition were introduced to the firearms industry at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas in January of 2013. The new shotgun likely has the same Magpul 1301 furniture seen here. View Quote Not quite. Again, it's not a 1301. It's going to be an entirely made in the USA shotgun. The 1301 will still be made in Italy. It will still be available. But without the energy problems that Europe is suffering and shipping/supply chain issues, the USA made gun will be less expensive and should be more readily available. The 1301 is not being discontinued. View Quote No. The 1301 won't be going anywhere. It's still going to be produced by Beretta and it's still going to be as good of a gun as it's always been. But it's likely the prices will be up because of the aforementioned European issues. My assumption is this new shotgun will be to the 1301 as the A300 is to the A400. Doesn't it seem odd to have two such similar products priced so close together? Good for Beretta I guess. Cost savings is part of it. The Ukranian war and COVID have been used to jack energy prices through the roof as the EU dipshits basically try to completely de-industrialize Europe. Anything made in Europe is just getting more and more expensive as a result. Plus there's all the lingering supply chain and shipping issues that have resulted from war on the continent and COVID bullshit. But a gun that's made in America entirely can be made, shipped, and in stores at a lower price. Like maybe a lower price than, say, a Mossberg. I've been asked about shotgun buying advice by Lord knows how many hundreds of people now and I always give the same advice about buying the Mossberg, but there's always a percentage that buy one because it's less expensive than the 1301. Price point matters. So getting one that's more competitive isn't a bad move. It could be partially made somewhere else. RIA imports shotguns from Turkey but does some work on them in Utah to legally sell them as "pistols." That doesn't seem like it makes sense though for a shotgun I'm not sure about the polymer for the furniture on the gun, but the gun is made in the USA. |

I've had a lot of Mossbergs come to class. I've seen three that went through the day without problem. And one of those was owned by a 3 gun enthusiast who knows how to keep her shit working. Class conditions were terrible. It was unseasonably cold and pouring rain. The gun ran everything it was fed even though the water had long since washed off whatever lube was on the gun. The 1301's in class ran beautifully, as one would expect. There was so much water and muck that some of the pump guns were struggling. The Berettas gave no fucks all day. Turns out that a gun built to handle the worst that waterfowlers and clay-shooting addicts can throw at it works pretty darn good at making them reliable for defensive use. |
