I’ve been “stuck” in this genre for years and am looking to branch out. Looking for something that isn’t too complex of a read. Psychology, human nature, mental health, etc.. I haven’t read anything in quite some time where I’ve had that “wow” moment once I was finished with it. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hit your book sources for:
Asimov
Heinlein
Louis Lamour
Larry Niven
Poul Anderson
Philip Jose Farmer
Edgar Rice Burroughs
Arthur C Clarke

Lots of good authors with lots of book about the human condition, the way people behave in different situations. Learned a lot of good things and ideas from all these authors and more that i read when I was a kid.

ETA: Just the tip of the iceberg, this list could go on for a page or two.

Probably the most controversial 'banned book' in recent memory. Everyone is trying to censor this - which is how you know its good.

I found it well written and readable. Really exposes the trans-industrial complex.

Larry Niven
Jerry Pournelle
Kurt Vonnegut
Joseph Wambaugh
Robert Ludlum

Then after years and years for fiction, I only read history or technical books now.  I went for fiction first.
