6 million is very high at all.
Its surprisingly low.

On the one hand... agreed. On the other hand, it costs nothing to Subscribe to a YouTube channel.

Now, if dude had 6M Patreon supporters... that would be something else, entirely.

+1.  How many of those followers are active in the community?  Attend his conferences, actively promote tech legislation, hold community events, etc.

This isn't a petition. This is 6 million annual paying members.

Population is ~ 350 million.
total guns is ~ 200 million
Total gun owners is ~ 100 million

NRA members = 6 million, = ~6% of gun owners.

For such a vocal crowd, 6% is a pretty dismal showing, IMHO.
There are even ~ 20 million EBR's, but most of those owners are not in the NRA.

But muh fudds, muh bolt-action 30-06, muh double-barrel shotgun, muh bolt-action .22, muh lever-action deer rifle, etc.

Nobody needs a 30 round clip to blast Bambi.
NRA mails too much propaganda.
NRA always wants money - for this, for that, for this other thing.

There's 94 million reasons for not joining, and most of them are related to
'leave me alone, my head feels good, stuck up my ass.'

I have donated many memberships to family and friends - most do not renew.

Plug in your own numbers and reasons to the above - the answer is still the same.

Apathy is rampant, until it is too late.
