I'm getting more into self defense, shooting hand guns, conceal carry, and tactical firearms. I'm wondering which NRA magazine would be the most beneficial for me to read? American Rifleman or Shooting Illustrated? And what does Americas 1st Freedom mag cater to? CCW? Gun laws? Self defense?
I currently receive American Hunter, but am now focusing more on security.

Shooting Illustrated is my favorite one.  I skip the lengthy articles reminding us about our rights being assailed (preaching to the choir) but I understand the need to have them in there.
