https://www.smith-wesson.com/product/model-350?sku=13331 Smith & Wesson has introduced a new addition to its lineup of wheelguns for 2022, with the new Model 350 double-action revolver chambered for the .350 Legend cartridge. With a frame, cylinder and barrel made of stainless steel and treated with a satin finish, it weighs in at 71.5 ozs., unloaded. Its 7.5" barrel has five-groove rifling, with a 1:18.75" right-hand twist rate, and the revolver's overall length measures in at 13.5". A large port is included at the top of the barrel near the muzzle to help tame muzzle rise. On top of the barrel and frame, the Model 350 comes with a red ramp front sight and an adjustable rear. Its fluted cylinder accepts seven round of .350 Legend, with moon clips included with each revolver to allow for faster reloads. Like most other Smith & Wesson revolvers, the cylinder rotates outward to the left side to open, activated by a latch also located on the left side of the frame. At the bottom of the frame, the Model 350 comes with a full-sized synthetic black grip, which includes texturing and finger grooves to assist in retention. All of these features make for a revolver that is well-suited for medium game hunting, as explained by John Myles, Smith & Wesson's senior manager of new products. "The 350 Legend is one of the flattest shooting straight-walled cartridges on the market today. It is great for medium-sized game and especially whitetail hunting. If you’re looking for a hunting revolver, the Model 350 is it." The Smith & Wesson Model 350 has suggested retail price is $1,599. To learn more, visit smith-wesson.com. View Quote |

I may buy whatever Ruger spits out to compete with this. Especially if I can use 357 max brass with it.

You know times are tough when they can't afford primers for their photo shoot ammo.

I can't believe the Hillary Hole still exists after all these years.

Takes the time to design an awesome revolver.
Leaves the universal symbol of revolver fail on the side of it. |

145 grain will do around 1900fps from a 7" barrel.
Attached File Around the 34:00 mark is the 7" numbers .350 Legend by the inch. 350 Legend Velocity by the Inch Part 2 I wonder if they could have squeezed an eighth chamber in that cylinder... Best, JBR |

Interesting...
Recoil can't be that bad since there's not a bunch of porting up front. I wonder how it compares to the .460? |

Something tells me their customer base wants blued k-frame revolvers in 357 magnum. Not these hideous wrist breakers that end up on GunBroker after 1 range session.

Does .350 legend really need an Xframe?
An N frame (even if 5-6 round cylinder) seems like it would sell better. |

As a 350 fan I like. I shoot a 7.5 inch AR pistol in 350 and it’s fun. I hunt deer with a 10.5 inch and it works perfectly. A big revolver with porting will shoot much softer than a 44 will. I’ll need to see one in the wild to decide if it is for me. At least it would go well with my Governor.

View Quote I doubt this will be a wrist breaker, probably nowhere near 500, likely not even close to the 460. The power of the cartridge is much, much lower. It will probably be quite a pleasant shooter... other than the weight of the gun itself. |

Dupe.
https://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/2577778_350-Legend.html IMHO I'd prefer a .357 Maximum revolver to a .350L. YMMV, a lot. I enjoy my .350L rifle but revolver cartridges have rimmed cases, period. |

Wonder how fast you could get 125gr JHP'S over a full case of Lil Gun going outta that beast?
I know there were some guys getting 1800fps with 125's out of Ruger Redhawk .357's. This ought to break 2K plus easily. Would break down small mammals to their base particles. |

LOL. I quickly glanced at the photo, saw those long thin cartridges, but couldn't understand why a .22Magnum revolver was so darn expensive.
"Monkey see-Monkey do". If Colt can charge$1,600 for a Python looking revolver, S&W figures that they can too. Seems like a lot of guns these days like Marlin, Colt & S&W no longer start out in the mid to high $hundreds$ these days. |

Quoted: I don't think they could cram the 2.25" OAL of a 350 Legend into an N frame. X frame maxes out at 2.3" I believe. Even if it fit the pressure is the problem. Smith built the X frame to handle the 500. Same reason Bighorn Armory made a new action for their 500 lever gun. It’s a beast. |
