She was working with some woman from California... wife got essentially ghosted. Now she can't find someone to help her with the health issues she has. Anyone know anybody who is into this field?
The reason she's going the herbal route is that the doctors she's been seeing don't want to prescribe the 'strong stuff'... even though she's on a minimal dose. |

Does ID allow for those 'herbals' even for medical use?
Because if not, short of going to CA and finding this person for a refund demand, I can't imagine much recourse. |
|
If you were more frank about her symptoms, we might be able to better help you.

|
What are her health issues?
I am not a trained or licenced medical professional or a herbalist but I do have some experience with unconventional medicine. |

Doctors >> herbalists.
Maybe God is trying to do y'all a favor. |

Ok…is ‘herbalist’ code for the dealer of the green stuff or something?
Eta - yup it is. |
|
Are you talking about kratom?
I would not touch that shit. She'd be better off with weed |

Just was texting my wife, she said she was researching making some laundry detergent, and she found her recipe on ar15.com... my instant knee jerk reaction was to say no don't use that one, its probably a trap! |

Is there a hippy college town near you? Probably a "legit" herbalist there. Not weed.
I've tried a lot of herbal stuff for Lyme and none of it helped. |

View Quote yep. doctors are freaked out by prescribing even tiny amounts of hydrocodone. my doc who i have used for over 30 years would prescribe 15 a month for years no issues, then the government schedule them to II and starting auditing every single script. i get a few every now and then rarely but he actually says he is scared of doing it because of government audit. and i never increased, asked for extra refills or asked for stronger stuff. it is what it is. im gonna assume your west coast herablist was prolly doing kratom. beware of that stuff. there are all kinds of reasons to avoid it. |

If it's Kratom then run away fast. Read up on some of the addiction stories. It's terrible.

Like what? From the little bit I've read up on the stuff....it sounds like it's got some opioid type properties, but it's not technically an opiod.....it comes from some plant related to coffee? Seems like there are Kratom signs posted on the outside of all the head shops around town. Never heard of anyone dropping dead from Kratom..... |

Never heard of anyone dropping dead from Kratom..... a few people have dropped dead from the stuff. its not the reason to be wary of. it takes several grams to get an effect. from there folks tend to increase the doses. and its effect appears mild. until you decide to stop taking it. you can search for various addiction info. its the seemingly mild effect and then the not so mild detox that fools folks. folks arent aware of its addiction potential. taken occasionally its ok, but then so is vicodin or similar stuff but folks know about the addictive potential of hydrocodone and act accordingly (or not). |
