My wife is a Retired Marine (legal specialist for enlisted and adjutant as an officer)

I’m an Army officer but if you questions I can ask her.

The armed forces are active purging via wokeness, vax requirements, etc. anything that resembles convervatism.

i would think the CG would be the best place to be independent and resourceful. isn't that what CG teaches?

I was int Army when there was no females, only nurses, so no experience serving with, my only opinion is that females are no wanted in the Armed Forces.

OP Another option. Consider sending her to a top University. There she can enroll in certain classes and special projects that are offered in the Military Affairs Department linked to the NROTC Department taught by Officers from all branches open to all students without having to sign up for NROTC. She may be targeted by Officers who want to recruit her. She can get some glimpse and exposure to the culture.

Even after graduation without being in NROTC, with a university degree, if this is something she wants to pursue professionally, she can apply to Officer Candidate School. Just keep a watchful eye on her to make certain she is being treated respectfully, not being harassed, etc.

The Military Affairs Department and NROTC are like the boy and girl scouts, etc. Who knows, the students sitting next to her, after graduation may be flying jets over the University and chasing UFOs from carriers, "it's an adventure"

She was going in 4 years ago, so all that's rather moot.   We are curious, though, as to what she ended up choosing, what she got assigned, and how she's doing with it.  @surfaxel

ETA:   We aren't going to be hearing shit.   OP only ever made 22 posts in his entire time on arfcom, mostly in this thread, with last post over 2 years ago.   Talk about a thread that won't die!   OP was from 2019!   And she was going in in 2019, so she's probably back out by now.

@Jodan1776 My bad, please excuse the dupe inappropriate post.

Hope they are well. Perhaps other people facing the same circumstances, will find this thread and benefit from the perspectives and meaningful experiences, that all of you have so kindly and caringly posted.

Thank you for your reply and update.

Mods really should close this old thread.   At first glance, it looks current, but it's years old.    @striiker

This is the way. Anything IT or mechanic-related will translate to a very fulfilling career after she gets out.
