So I'm relocating from AZ to GA as a sole proprietor 07/02. Got my new FFL premises set up in GA and on Memorial Day will be pointing my pickup east and hitting I-40.
My personal and business firearms are inventoried and crated in large military transit crates and those are sealed with metal zip ties. The crates will be in a fully enclosed U-haul trailer with a security chain going through crate and case handles and locked to the trailer interior.
My biggest concern is not theft from some ne'erdowell, it is getting stopped and grilled on the side of the road by Johnny Law. I have all my old FFL paperwork and records but don't have my new FFL in hand, it is in my mailbox in GA.
Other than not consenting to search and not bringing up what's in the trailer, any other tips for minimizing the chances of getting everything searched on the side of the road and having to explain that yes, this grenade launcher, that claymore, and those beltfeds really are legal and these are not the droids you are looking for?
