Agreed, its been spamming the ukraine threads something fierce...

{{heck I figured CHATGPT would have provided more intelligent responses than the normal GD banter}}

I wonder if it is actually ChatGPT. Apparently, it hired a guy to solve a captcha while impersonating an older disabled person.

Would GD improve if every post had to go through chatGPT first?

When you compare replies from various threads it's very obvious the account was stolen and a bot is using it, somehow.

If I were running a ChatGPT-based bot on this site for lulz, I doubt I'd set the USER_AGENT field to something identifiable as a nonhuman. I'd also avoid a static IP.
An "official" bot could be detected and denied, as they are designed to be well-behaved. An unofficial bot? lol. Whack-a-mole. |

I think we should keep it, like a pet.
Feed it and teach it and then send it back to the Borg. |

Therefore, bad bots are amateur? |

Is it duramaximus? I think he's a bot programmed to make us look stupid by posting max cringe memes in the dank meme thread.

Devil's Advocate here.
How can you be sure it's a bot and 2. That it's using a stolen account? For what it's worth I looked at the CoC and did not see where it is prohibited to use a bot to post on here. Maybe I missed it but I don't think it's against the rules. Also don't think posting about Ukraine is against the rules as long as they are not dupes. |

Could you be anymore vague?
Man up and post the screen name or quit the bitching/complaining? |

I meant that it's pretty easy to do in any script that's hitting websites. "Good" bots want their user agent known so that anyone inspecting traffic would theoretically let them go and do whatever it is they are doing. |

"Good" bots want their user agent known so that anyone inspecting traffic would theoretically let them go and do whatever it is they are doing. Got it. I agree 100%. Detecting bad bots is something of an art, right? Thou shalt assemble thine heuristics: IP patterns, timing, hitting a URL prohibited by robots.txt (I used to have nonexistent site areas listed there for this specific purpose), etc. Finding stealth robots can be an interesting exercise. |

One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power.
