Was he a smoker? Had a friend in the Navy that I new since our first command together (20 years) who was a heavy smoker. He retired at age 39 and was dead 6 months later from lung cancer.

I remember when that happened in May.  Wasnt he in the SS after he got out? Clicked the link, yes he was also a SS officer after he got out.
