This is at one of the local gun stores...with tax it works out to 55 cents a round. Looks like they may be from 1987.
No clue as to to storage. Boxes looked aged, but were in good shape. Fo? |

That wasn't bad pre panic for LGS pricing. I think the last batch I bought was .48 cpr and that was years ago.

Good stuff. Great price these days. I wish I could get it at that price. Last time I bought MEN or DAG it was just under 45 cents per round, before tax (Century imported a bunch a couple of years ago or so).
The jacket design on the German ammo (and I think older Danish 7.62mm ammo also had a design like this) causes the bullet to fragment rather violently in tissue at closer ranges. |

How much did they have? If they have more than you want, I'll take some off your hands. I think I got some brass from your yrs ago, I'm local to you. |

The description on that ammo makes me laugh. "Manufactured by MEN in Germany" It sounds like they're saying, 'This ain't no sissy ammo, it's made by MEN!'

Has anyone reloaded any of this.
I noticed that the outer diameter of the rim would not allow it to seat in my case gauge. The rounds were fired in a bolt action so deformation should not have occured. Seems like I also had issues with it fitting the shell holder on my reloader. Anyone else with experience with reloading MEN rounds? |

View Quote Decent price considering the current situation. It all depends on how much you're currently sitting on. If you're low I'd say buy as much of that as you can. Sitting on 2-30K? Pass. |

We got some from 2016 production. I'd call it good to very good for FMJ.
Brass reloads well. Have made some fairly accurate loads using those cases with minimal effort. |

Quoted: Buy all they will sell to you. View Quote This. Drive your pick up, or get a friend to let you borrow his. That is an REALLY good deal for 7.62x51 NATO (actual NATO with circle cross) brass cased Mil Spec ammo. It is not "Match" Grade, but certainly "Minute of Man" at any distance you might shoot with a typical battle rifle. |

Quoted: Berdan primed. You won't be reloading it very easily. But the ammo is gold. I've got several thousand rounds. Quite accurate for my tastes. I've got several thousand rounds. Quite accurate for my tastes. Berdan primers seem to have dried up within the first couple of months of the panic. Was going to order some in the spring from one place and they were sold out of all sizes and haven't had any in stock since, and no one else has anything anymore, either. The hardest part is getting the primers. If you have that and buy a Berdan decapping tool, it doesn't seem like the process should be all that difficult or different from reloading Boxer. |

Resize neck. Sort bullets by weight. Make a ladder on powder charge using 7.62 NATO data. Once you find a node, reload the rest the same. Only need powder as you are reusing the same bullets and primers. IMR 4064, IMR 4895, Varget, BLC-2 are good powders to try. |

Yeah, I bought the same stuff with the defaced headstamps and the cartridge info printed on the side of the case. I think the stuff I got like that was all DAG. |
