I’m in a sales humor group on FB. A lot of them are car sales. They would go ape shit on this. But from their stories, the lack of cocaine is amateur

Rim shows damage in pic. New rim included in 800 bucks? I would want to look at everything before accepting vehicle. Kinda wonder if he drove over anything.

[#22]
Yeah that’s gonna be a no from me dawg
Rim tire fender and maybe bumper cover. Definitely needs a deeper inspection which should be done by the dealership after they take it back from you and give you something else. |

I emailed the General manager early Monday morning. He called me within an hour and was pretty upset. Asked me what I wanted to do and I told him to come get the car. They picked it up about an hour ago.

Quoted: You're underestimating the repair cost. View Quote Yep, had a deer jump out and do basically that to mine. cost me $1750 . new bumper cover(interior attachment points were toasted), new fender, and aligning it. PLUS on your new car you have an accident that drops value . 2 years later had another issue and neeed a fender done. different shop second shop(speciality shpp, guy does insurance work between full body of restores of classic muscle cars that he takes ot barret Jackson. his work is awesome. ) said that it wouldn't line up right because they cut corners originally. it would have been an easy2500 plus to get it right first time. |

It's way too tight in the rear, and too wide of a gap towards the front. Can't even see what other damage might have happened behind the bumper. You'll also most certainly need a new bumper cover unless they rig it up. Probably a fender too but we can't see all of the damage in your picture. No way you're getting this all repaired for $800 without a "hook up" kind of price. If you do get it repaired, chances are that gap won't be right again, you'll almost certainly be able to tell where the paint is blended, you'll likely have contamination in the paint that almost all aftermarket paint jobs have, a different texture on the fresh painted part from the rest of the paint (again almost always the case), and it'll likely fade differently than the rest of the paint on the car. So in a few years it'll be much more noticeable. It'll also be a different thickness than OEM paint, so if you ever sell it, they'll know it was damaged when they stick a paint thickness gauge on there to check painted areas. Thus significantly reducing the value again. If you know what you're looking for, you can almost always easily spot body repairs and repainted areas. They almost always look like shit, and you end up experiencing even more of a headache down the road. I definitely wouldn't accept a repair here, as that car will never be the same again. It's different if you wrecked it after buying it, but in this case, I'd demand another car. If I didn't get it, my lawyer would go straighten it out for me. |

View Quote At one time I dabbled in the selling of cars . The one thing I noticed is that a good number of salesmen are in one of two stages . Either coming off a drunk or going on to a drunk . The dealership I was at kept a liquor store that was on the corner profitable for a very long time . But we had fun . At others expense of course . gd |
