New xbox is coming out in november, can't really recommend buying one now

Have a pawnshop nearby? The local pawnshop chain here has Xbox Ones for $99 with a controller as a standard offering.

Microsoft was running the Xbox One X for $300 the other day. Might still be going. The new version comes out this fall, but the 'never adopt a first gen system' rule still applies.

You can get an Xbox One S for $200 or an Xbox One X for $300 ish... did you buy one OP? Could probably get a used one on craigslist for $100.
