Never heard of it, but had to laugh at IMFDB: "very little of the budget went into costumes for actress Mathilda May, who spent nearly the entire film completely nude in her role as the lead female vampire"
ETA: "original US release had 15 minutes cut from it, mainly some of the aforementioned nudity and some violence, but home video releases have the restored the full 116 minute international cut" so I guess those of you seeking a torrential downpour should look at the runtime... |

Good old Tobe Hooper.
From Texas Chainsaw Massacre to Poltergeist to Life Force to Invaders from Mars. The man was the king of grade A schlock. He out-schlocked the schlock king Roger Corman at his own game. If you put the script for Life Force on anyone but Harvey Weinstein's desk today you'd get murdered. I mean, you wouldn't even get out of the room... you'd be beaten to death with at least one men's size ladies pump and multiple pairs of narrow children's size converse. Then they'd parade your corpse up and down Sunset. |
