475HP I had to go with the 475 over the 425 to get the 4L70 in the connect and cruise package. Brand new crate engine/transmission package from GM.

Sold my built wrx, and jumped on the LS train back in 2020... Haven't looked back lol

2002 Corvette ZO6
Just had a BTR Stg 3 cam, and longtubes when I bought it, now the only thing factory stock about the motor is the crank.
500whp NA, 250 shot for right now, have a 2nd kit I still need to hook up for 400 nitrous (2 stages... 1st stage 250, 2nd 150)
People tell me my license plate is a reason they have trust issues.

Yes sir, no injuries. I was the only car and person involved. Even the 6” evergreen tree came out perfectly fine - didn’t even peel the bark off the tree.

Thank you kindly. You are definitely correct, it could have been much worse.

Learning lessons even at 41yrs old. Even though I was on a back country empty road alone, still need to keep it on track.

I know. I’ve owned a lot of cars, and driven many amazing ones - I really loved that car. By far my favorite daily driver. The symphony that V8 put out was just glorious. I’m searching for another one. Found one 2400 miles away, working on the deal right now.

Yes, for sure it does, thank you.

Friday I was sent videos of the same car in Ohio, I agree to purchase that night - he said he’d send me docs in the am to sign so I could send payment. I woke up Saturday, didn’t see the docs - sent out a text, and he replied back someone was there to purchase the car. 🤦🏻‍♂️
It sold that day.

Looking at another one in IL. 🥴

Yes!

Congrats, man. Enjoy it!

ETA: Look into the AMS or Verus Engineering wind deflectors; they clear the wind buffeting issue right up. I have the AMS ones.

ZL1 rock guards are also helpful.

IS500 launch sale fell through - I agreed to purchase and ship across the country to me. Waited on docs to sign, never sent - sold to someone the same day.

Test drove a frozen brilliant 2021 M3 Competition RWD with 830 miles on it. Frozen paint was different, didn’t really care for the white. Gray would be cool. Definitely felt more track worthy than the IS500, but I was not as impressed for a daily. Didn’t give me the warm fuzzy feelings the IS500 5.0 V8 did. It was definitely quicker, but the turbo V6 did not sound good IMO (sport and normal mode). Even in normal mode the ride was too firm for DD. It is bigger than the 500 if that’s what you’re looking for, which I’m not.

I was supposed to replace my track Mustang with an M3, M2, or 991 911…and I highly doubt it’s going to be an M3. I also test drove a 2018 991 911 Carrera as well (priced very well at $90K - loved the gray color though)- wasn’t too impressed either. Hopefully when the M2 comes out, I love it. I love the M240i (for what it is).
Might swap over to a GT350 or Mach1 for a track car. Looking at C7’s and SS LE’s as well, but they seem to have some issues. Not really a Chev fan.

That’s pretty cool. I always loved the RSX’s back in the day. Test drove one when they came out and don’t recall why I didn’t purchase, ended up in a new civic instead (2001). Probably due to price.
Is this a manual trans?

love this little thing even though I've had problems with it.  Bought it with ~45k miles and already replaced door sensor/handle, water pump, water pump tube, coolant thermostat, drive belt THEN the boost tube came off the throttle body as i was getting on the highway last week.

anyhow...

That is my thing with VW's.  I love the damn things but the build quality can be complete shit sometimes.  I've had several Jettas, two from the same year.  One was great, the other a complete and utter POS.  Its like that old joke that you didn't want a car that was built on a Monday or Friday.

Wife picked up this 1999 WS6 Monday.  She's been my biggest fan while I do HPDE over the years and she wanted to get into it.  I kinda left it on the back burner for a while but finally broke down and we started looking.  Found this one locally.  Actually belonged to the son of a guy in my old car club.... that last time I saw him he was like 10 and is now 24.    makes me feel that much older.  Haha.

Anywho, 1999 Trans Am WS6.  Nicely optioned car. 150k miles.  All stock except the 1st owner put a Wings West body kit on it, Mecham hood and SS wheels.  No leaks, still feels strong, interior is MINT,  leather seats aren't even cracked.  Original owner must have been an older guy cause he had a 6 page long excel spreadsheet of the entire history of the car.  2nd owner bought it from for his wife.  She drove it on and off for 3 years and parked it.

Man, that’s my dream! I’d love for the wife to want to do HPDE! It’d also give me a reason to add another track car.

Which, I did just add a new one. 992 911 Carrera S. Goes into the shop next week to get track pads/pins/camber plates/track alignment, etc.

She's been wanting to take my 800hp zl to do HPDE... I kept telling her no.  Mostly cause the fastest car she's ever driven was her factory super charged 2002 Monte Carlo.  She's taken my zl1 to different shows but never the track.  I was going to find a 5th gen SS but the prices have gotten nuts.  Found this 4th gen and she's always loved the ws6 trans am.  So 300ish hp would be a good start for her.  Plus the track closest to us has a 96Db limit and my zl1 is in the 115+ range.  Now I just gotta hope she will let me drive it in the track a weekend she doesn't want to rave.
