Learned this today and thought it worth sharing.  Lefties love to proclaim they are woke.

Since I first heard it uttered by my libtard brother I have thought it was a term liberals use to show they are on track with the rest of the progressive movement.  They are woke and with the in crowd now that they acknowledge old white men as the root of all evil, all women must be believed, socialism is a good thing, etc.  I thought only liberals could be woke and the rest of us (on the right) are not now or ever will be.

Surprised I am.  Instead it is all about "Taking the RED pill".  Something the Left has never done.  In fact it is folks on the right who are woke, while the left walks around in an ideological trance knowing no truths.  Clones, bots, NPC's.

They took the blue pill and see nothing that we can see.  The analogy strikes me as true.  Prophetic.

It's still one of the stupidest fucking words that has been added to people's vocabulary.

You're missing the part that the libs think they are the ones taking the red pill.  That's why they use the word.

I thought it was all about trying not to bleed out.

No.  The Right took it from the Left and uses it ironically.  Red pilled is the right's version of woke.

I hate my generation.  There is a direct correlation with how often you use "hashtag" and "woke" in both speech or text and how little I want to have anything to do with you.

Originally it was, but it got appropriated to mean something else.

You see, that's the problem. They think they are woke when they say they are woke, but they aren't. They are blinded by ignorance.

Strange, I heard the word typically used when describing companies and brands that went the SJW/Leftest way.
