I haven't seen it in a couple of years, but watched clips of it - the scenes, especially the battles are epic.
Yes I know the little trolls are annoying, especially the gay ones The Lord of the Rings (2002) - The final Battle (Of The Hornburg) - Part 1 [4K] |

Yes. Great films. It's almost like a last "hurrah" of Hollywood.

I'm finishing up listening to the audio books in my commute. I listen to them every couple of years.
It's truly the English language epic. |

Not my cup of tea.
I have the whole LOTR set of Special Extended DVD Edition dvd's, I could only make it have way through the second one before I put them up as not interested - I never have seen the whole thing. |

I watch the extended versions regularly. They have stood the test of time.

Yes they are the best trilogy ever. They are truly a modern classic.

LOTR is absolutely the best ever. Teo Towers may have benefited the most from the extended version. I’m going to be laid up for awhile from a surgery and I’m definitely going to do the Hobbit and LOTR extended ones over the course of a few days.
I hope Amazon’s second age LOTR series turns out great. They’re supposed to be spending a ton of $ on it. |

Quoted: They tried to put too much extra info into those movies. Probably was the only way those events would ever seen the big screen. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: The Hobbit Trilogy was an abomination. There are some decent fan edits -- the Bilbo Edit and Tolkien Edit were both pretty good. |

Most likely yes.
Best part of the trilogy is in the video below Rohirrim Charge (Battle of the Pelennor Fields) HD |

His Charge of the Rohirrim speech here, and to a much lesser extent, at the end of the Battle of Helm's Deep absolutely give me goosebumps, every time. Damn, and then coupled with the music during the Battle of the Pelennor Fields is movie perfection. |

It's certainly one of my favorites. The Hobbit Trilogy on the other hand is pretty much the only Trilogy I started that I didn't finish. Almost walked out of the theater for the second movie.
