Let’s keep a running list of good restaurants along the Bourbon Trail near distilleries. I’ll keep checking and update with suggestions.

Frankfort:

Melisa’s Diner - good home-style breakfast
Local’s Pizza - really good pizza and cheese bread

Lexington:


Versailles:
Wallace Station - old farmhouse converted to a small restaurant. Great hot ham and pimento cheese sandwich and hot brown burger.

Bardstown:
Mammy's
Pat's place (breakfast)
Old Talbott Tavern

If doing an AirBnB in Bardstown and want to eat in,  Boone's butchershop has the best meats in town.
Really good pork and Prime beef. Prices are reasonable.

Old Talbots tavern is amazing.  We stayed there when we got our ambassador bottles from makers mark.
I also recommend the resteraunt on makers mark.  They had a delicious salad. I’ll try and find a pic

That’s the chili and cornbread that they had.  It was good.

Restuarant at Makers is currently closed. May be opening shortly.
This was as of 3/10, when we were there to pick up Ambassador bottles.

Another vote for Old Talbot's Tavern.

My wife and I eat there every time we are in Bardstown.

If you decide to go to Jeptha's Creek distillery in Shelby County, then Claudia Sander's is worth going to as well.

Any lights out pizza in the Frankfort/Lexington area?
