Helped a good friend move a box across town to be shipped and he gave me this as a way to say thanks… I’m blown away… not sure when I’m gonna open it but I definitely will!!!

For example helping a friend in a pinch and he repays you with something pretty rare. It’d be a slap in the face to cash out that rare item. I did a buddy a solid and he responded with a very expensive bottle. I enjoyed every drop of it that my wife didn’t get.

It won't change your life, but it's damn good imo.
Liked it better than lot B. Haven't had the 15 or 23. I lucked into a couple bottles at msrp years ago and still have one for a special occasion. It's not like it's taking great will power to save it, I have quite a few I can drink first. Enjoy it. |

Just my $0.02 worth.
It is made to be drank. Pick an event to enjoy it. Retirement. 50th wedding anniversary. Promotion. Maybe you are the last of 8 siblings. Have a drink on each of their birthdays. (Or the day they passed away) Something meaningful. Or just pop it open and drink it right now. Make an old fashioned with it. Drink it how you damn well please. It is yours, and enjoy it the way you want. I have one or two "special" bottles that I am saving for a special occasion, but once that happens it will be an annual thing. (Maybe when Mom and Dad are gone, I'll pick a day and celebrate them and my Grandma and Grandpa. It may sound bad, but I am glad they aren't here today. I'm not sure they could understand or deal with today's society. Hell, I was born in 1962 and I have problems. So much today is just plain WRONG!) Sorry about getting up on my soapbox. Drink it and enjoy it how you want, ignore the snobs. |
