It is on a GFCI protected circuit.  Across the room at floor level is a GFCI standalone plate just for the tub.

There is another GFCI outlet on the left side of the vanity, and a non GFCI outlet on the right if the vanity.

Using the GFCI tester I determined every receptacle is GFCI protected in the bath.

And bow I know where to reset them all.

Thanks again ARF!

Went to install an inline heater on our jetted tub, noticed the receptacle underneath is not GFCI.

Of course this is on the top story and the panel is down three floors in the basement.

So, what would he the easiest way to make this more safe?

Yeah, just remove the front  panel.  No tools needed.

Is there a way to add the safety at the box at the tub instead of going into the panel, which makes me a little uncomfortable?

All outlets in a bathroom are required to be GFCI.
I have GFCI CBs.

Why not replace the recepticle with a GFCI?

$8 for a gfci tester. Test that outlet to see if it is already protected by being "downstream" of another gfci.

When I installed out Jacuzzi tub I decided to do two circuits.  One for tub motor/pump and one for the heater.  I also used those circuits to run a double gang outlet by my tool box.  Only time I have ever had one trip was when I had an extension cord plugged in and the end was left outside in the rain.  Breakers were about $50 each.

Trip those and see if the tub still runs.

I think there's supposed to be a protected by GFCI sticker on it. That'll be the one thing the inspector finds when you sell
