My grandma used to make jelly and would give me her homemade apple jelly.  My niece noticed that I got the biggest jar at Christmas since grandma knew I liked it so much.  Good stuff.

What's the difference between jelly & jam?

Jelly is seedless, jam has seeds and preserves have chunks of fruit?

Home made Plum preserves, followed by Peach.

My wife also makes more esoteric stuff like Prickly Pear and Saguaro.

A buddy's daughter is a chef, and she makes a satsuma (orange) marmalade that is INSANE.  You could put it on a brick, and I'd eat it.

Strawberry rhubarb preserves, preferably made by the sweet old lady who lives across the street from us. That old gal can can her ass off.

Homemade wild picked blueberry jam FTW. The blueberries picked in the wild in MM, WI, MI, and central Canada are not the same as the store bought or Maine area blueberry. These are smaller and more tart.  About 3 weeks out still. I'll be filling a few gallon buckets.

Home made is always the best!

Here's a pic of my home made grape and strawberry preserves, as well as a nice container of fresh home made strawberry ice cream.

Chokecherry jelly my mom used to make was my absolute favorite.

Some baba’s selling their wares at the local farmer’s markets are what I have to make due with now.

You have to watch the sneaky ones that skimp on the syrup; the good ones don’t cut corners and I’ll pay and seek them out accordingly.

Most store bought ones are just too much sugar.
My favorite of the ones I make at home is a nectarine chutney, part sweet, part savory.
