The structural changes to America have been happening for decades. It has REALLY sped up under Obama. Trump delayed it. Now we will see what Biden can/will do.
I suspect the next few years will eliminate America as we thought about it and will be just a thin facade of a free Republic. We will enter a stage where big-tech, big industry etc will form a fusion with the BIG .gov which is by definition fascism. One they consolidate power it will be nearly impossible to turn it around without major war, including outside powers fighting on American soil. |

The federal government is fucked, but most of us still have functioning state and local governments. So we still have 2/3 of a functioning government, and that ain't bad.
I feel like the federal government is going to get a pretty big reality check once the libs start pushing thru idiotic laws and the individual states just refuse to enforce them. They are going to have to make a choice to either put up our shut up soon. |

Once amnesty is passed it will be cooked if it includes citizenship.
We can still reach for some lifelines....the best hail marry we have is a convention of the states being called in an attempt to right the ship. Some ideas for the subjects of the convention... Repeal the 17th, Senators MUST be selected by the state legislators.... Citizenship defined, made part of the primary duties of the federal govenment's duty to protect the borders. Revamping of the naturalization process. Election integrity spelled out (one day voting in person with limited absentee for legitimate reasons, ie military, voter id) Electoral college re-affirmed and applied to the states so states can't be swung by population density Overhaul of our tax system...big topic....but maybe a flat tax or elimination of income tax. Overhaul of federal spending with pathway laid for paying off the national debt. Eliminating welfare and transfer payments. |
