Give her some time. College is a bubble; once she gets out into the Real World and sees what happens to her paycheck, and why, she may come around.

My son was very much of the stripe "What's mine is his" growing up.
I had a hard time saying "no" because my dad was very generous with me, too.
Now, he has as much discretionary money as me, so it's, "That's mine. Go buy your own, ya mooch".

My two locked down harder on conservatism during/after college.
Daughter is turning 21 in Oct and I'm getting her a g43, she requested.

In her defense, at her age she is dependent on you to supply any arms and ammo she wants to use.
