Was never my fav, but enjoyed some of the library wines when we visited.  At some point restaurant staff would chuckle and roll their eyes if you ordered it.  Should I still be judging people?

It received some scorn as a very fruit forward wine among more advanced folks - the less sophisticated crowd loved to destroy bottles of it at steakhouses while other people enjoyed an Opus or Insignia, maybe, or something French and old.  I never really understood the mentality, but apparently it was a thing for a while maybe 7-10 years ago.

It's not even a cheap wine.

The best part about wine drinking or beer drinking or Whiskey Drinking or whatever you drink is that it's your choice and everybody has different tastes
I wouldn't let anybody dictate what I like.

"A lot of wine professionals would admit, privately, that they like Silver Oak. But please, that's off the record." (Silver Oak is a popular California Cabernet that's considered outmoded by snobs.)
