California man is beaten and robbed of his entire life savings outside bank just moments after withdrawing $200,000 'to help his family members who lost their jobs during COVID' |

whoops.... I guess paypal or Zelle would have been the better idea here.

Shit, I wouldn't carry around a tenth of that in public without at least two friends with ARs providing overwatch.
|
|
200k? He shoulda left that bank strapped like those north hollywood guys.
|

I think someone tipped off the thief before the victim left the bank. One time I stopped by my
bank to withdraw a large sum in cash, and they asked me to come back in a couple of days. If he had made such an appointment, or even if the bank happened to have that much on hand, it would have taken some time to count it. Maybe he’ll get that much back and more from a GoFundMe that someone sets up... ETA: I see that 3 others thought of the GoFundMe while I was typing the above text. |

There’s a lot of people in the business who carry tens of thousands of dollars on them. Also, I’ve seen some older retiree types who weren’t too fond of banks routinely carry $10-15K on them. |

Victim FAIL.
1. No gun. 2. No armed friend or relative covering his six. 3. Who the FUCK takes out 200 Grand in cash and walks out into the world without either or both of the above? |

I ain’t buying the story. If it is true, the cops will have it figured out in no time after they investigate the employees of the bank. |

SO...
The guys name is cornholio The random strong arm robber randomly hit the random customer who just left the bank with $200,000.00 in cash. Um-hmm and a go-fund me account was set up to assist the guy who just randomly got robbed by a random strong arm bandit. and someone was there to film it all. If it seems to good to be true it probably is. |
|
Seems fishy to me. When I cashed my inheritance check I was carrying and had my head on a swivel.

Read the story on fox news yesterday morning.
No mention of the go fund me in that story. Hmmmmmmmm. Could be a scam. |

You removed the post that I quoted regarding 1/10th ($20K) of the original amount. That's what my post was in reference to. |

I was almost sure it was an Asian guy because that shit happens all the time in Asian communities. Feral animals everywhere.

Definite scam.
Looking at the pictures, which were totally coincidentally snapped by a "bystander" , that looks like a regular little bank bag. No fucking way is there $200k in that little ass bag. Large sums of paper money are just that..... LARGE |

He needed 200 Large to feed 3 people in their 90s, one girl’s tuition at community college, and various emergency payments to help unemployed relatives in El Salvador?
Bullshit. |
|
seems fucky.
I don't believe in coincidence. Inside set up or "victim" had it done for a sob story... this way he could get media attention and a go fund me account that will triple the 200k in return. Just saying |

Does anyone know Jussie Smollett's whereabouts at the time of the incident?
|
|
Total Bullshit. ..$200K wrapped TIGHTLY in all $100 bills is a couple of small shoeboxes full. < Heard it from a "friend"

View Quote If a branch bank doesn’t have that much cash, they’ll order it from the fed (or main vault) which is your two days. If they do have it in stock and still enough to cover every day transactions, counting $200k won’t take long at all unless you’re an asshole who wants to physically watch them count every bill. They have bill counters for this and if they know you’re coming will have them in bound bricks you just come in and go. $200k in $100 bills can slip right into your cargo pockets. If it’s in $20 notes, you’ll have 10 fat bricks of $20k with 10 individual $2k straps. Simple backpack can move that without any attention. |

First, this is a daily mail article
Second, was the IRS notified about this withdraw? Third, if he has that much money in cash he should have called Brinks or some other money transport service to deliver the 200k to his home under armed guard. This whole thing smells of co.uk bullshit. |
