I posted this around a year ago, but it is worth reposting. With GD full of political and other threads that can get people down, this is a nice change. Not to mention, we have new folks on here who haven't seen the video.

I enjoy these thank you. I think is German
the guys on top are useless. I would use a meat hook to catch the bikes on top. that big tumbling are putting them out of service unnecessarily at 2 48 the guy break his forearm. |

Buddy used to do this . Had 3 bikes he raced Stock class , Modified and Pro ( or Unlimited ) cant remember . Pro bike was a Honda with a built 1100cc GxxR motor with 2 kits of Nitrous , 2' extended swingarm and 3" long bolts in the rear tire to act as studs . Im not much of a dirt bike guy but when he fired that bike up , it brought a smile to my face . Watching the acceleration that bike had was insane, when he hit the Nos it was a new level of insane .

We had a coal mine that we road bike in. One spot for as called the “ the wall”. It was one steep hill but only about 60% as tall as the one in the video. Not only was it a bitch to get up but the trip back down was quite a ride.
It had a creek at the bottom so you couldn’t get much of a run at it. Best advice I was given before I tried it the first time, “ put your nose on the front tire and don’t let off the throttle. |

Seems like an expensive sport.
Start with a $10K bike, spend many hours and thousands of dollars modding, aim it at a 87 degree steep mountain side and turn it into scrap metal in 12 seconds.

Who the he’ll is paying for these bikes? No way I would attempt when 99.9% certain my bike gets trashed.
Fist few runs, there are a bunch of small kids at the bottom of the hill in the path of falling bikes. Are the rope guys wearing clown shoes? Pathetic. Other than that, pretty cool. |

I think a lot of those guys underestimate the amount of rear (and probably front) rebound damping they need.

Seems to be a huge amount of lack of HP on many of those bikes. Or lack of RPMs, i.e. 4-strokers?
