All surgeries and Chemo were done, 3 months later we find another lump. 1 day after we find out it was benign, she says she wants a divorce. I was beyond confused. At first I said "okay". Then I thought, & told her "no".
That very night I was awakened in bed by 3 Fort Worth Police Officers. The story was my wife said that I threatened her with a firearm, not true. I was arrested & thrown in jail.  1 week later, I was "let go" from the hospital where I worked for 21 unblemished years. Her "word" was all the proof they needed, from the DA's perspective, & the hospital.
Hired a Criminal attorney who, as it turned out, threw me under the bus. One day after speaking with her Divorce attorney, he completely changed his tune about fighting for me & my case. I ended up taking 5 years deferred adjudication.
Spent all my savings for the Criminal attorney & divorce attorney. Between the two, it cost me over $40,000.
I lost my Family, my Son, my dogs and my house. The end of the divorce, I had to give her almost $140,000 (home equity and half of her 401-K). I'm still more than likely going to lose my RN license, & no one wants to hire a 51 year old with a record. Before this, I've only had 2 speeding tickets.

I've been living off my 401-K. I've always had depression, & now I've been diagnosed with PTSD. Several months ago, I went through my Attorneys to contact the DA & the Judge, to see if I could have a third party obtain all my firearms, ammo & accessories to sell to a FFL. I was told by my Attorney “The Judge wants to throw you back in jail, because you’re trying to get your firearms”! No explaining, even in the simplest of terms to get them to understand that I would have no contact with my firearms at any time. So at the end of my divorce, my Ex & her attorney ended up selling them & giving me the proceeds. I received $6,200, for weapons, ammo, magazines, & accessories that should have sold for more than $10-$12,000.

I am very sorry Gentlemen, but I am done! I’ve been lied to, & lied about. I’ve had my Son, my entire life, my Career, & all of my personal possessions stolen from me. I am a quiet, respectful & keep to myself kinda guy. I have prayed more than I ever have in my life, all to no avail. I am cognizant enough to know when I am beaten, & to know that I more than overwhelmed. Overwhelmed physically, emotionally & spiritually. I cannot hold on any longer, & believe it is time for me to go Home!

It sounds like this woman is out to try to ruin you and why I do not know, but what I can promise you is karma will kick her fucking ass. Do not let her end you.

"Going home" is not the answer. It is only the easiest way you can think of to make a temporary pain stop. Temporary pain. And i can promise you that is not how you want your son to remember you either.

Don't choose the easy way out. Your record is only a speed bump. Your Shitty ex wife is only a speed bump. Your son will come back around. You can and will get through this. Its just going to take some courage and determination.

I now have no faith or trust in our system. Here is the Tarrant County DA, getting out of violating the Federal Hatch Act.

Absolutely man. That's what happens when we let liberals and crooks take over our country. Shit like this Kavanaugh mess and that dirty bitch Feinswein...And when it comes to things like what your ex wife accused you of, by being the accused you're guilty until proven innocent. Not the way its supposed to go.

Laws are for thee and not for me is a good way to put it. Anyway I hope you're feeling a little better man. Keep your head up and continue to just vent to us or ask for anything you need/want......sometimes just knowing you got people on your side helps tremendously. Were here for you

Thank you! I'm not the kind of guy who is looking for a handout, or freebies. I've always taken care of my family & myself. To anyone who has never had depression, & I'm not referring to situational depression. It will take the strongest willed person, make you believe & feel all the negatives you can think up. It's not just an "emotional" feeling, you feel it physiologically as well!

Glad to see you here and talking to folks. It will get better. There are lots of people here who have gone through hell and have been helped allot by posting on ARFCOM. I don't know exactly what it is like to be in your specific situation, but I can appreciate how insurmountable it must seem. You hung in there, that is a huge step. Keep talking to people, it may not seem like forward movement but it is. Reach out to anyone here, anytime. I am often on here late into the evening.

I'm actually heading your way this weekend. Gotta get to Tulsa. The wife was going to go but she can stay with one of my kids up there. Take a trip with me - not a long one. I have to pick up a travel trailer I bought but have just gone through hell and back and no that's personal, not counting what war did - still trying to figure it all out myself. I'll take your company and I believe we can talk about things, as we seem to have both had things in our life go bad for us.
Hey it's just a couple guys discussing what keeps us going. There may not seem like it sometimes but there is a positive. You need to find it - shit I'm back looking for it now myself but I know it's there. Let me know.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather, we should thank God that such men lived.

My IM box has been emptied. Thank you again!

Let me know what I can do.

Hey it's just a couple guys discussing what keeps us going. There may not seem like it sometimes but there is a positive. You need to find it - shit I'm back looking for it now myself but I know it's there. Let me know.

@Hachiko

Hey man just a day trip. I'm not some crazy f'er, been on the site for years just don't post much. I actually built one of the largest diesel pickup truck web sites around years back. It was sold out from under me so I left. You can google my screen name and yeah that's me.

Been to war, and had hell when I came home, JUST lost my father, put my mom in a home and so much I am like you trying to justify it all. Sometimes just talking can help man. Everyone needs someone and that someone is the one they can turn to to when things are bad. All I can do is offer and try and be that person. Like I said I need the help as much as you - we've both been through hell but we CAN and WILL make it. Stay strong.
I leave out from the Dallas area in my F-250 at 0430. I'd like to have ya with with me. Hell what's the worst that can happen, you need a break some time and jump in the trailer and watch t.v. the damn way back. :P

My story is a long one, but I will summarize it. Married to the love of my life for 15 years. In Sept. 2015, she was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast Cancer. I being an RN, took care of her and did everything for her, as a Husband should. She drastically changed into a completely different person on the inside.

Keep pushing bro. I promise you things will get better. After you hit rock bottom life becomes what you make it at that point. And when you come out the other side you're a whole lot tougher of a person.

Good news is you can only go up from here. Just keep pushing

Are you any good with your hands? Most labor jobs don't care about criminal history, I worked with a guy who did 5 years for attempted murder and others who had done time for robbery, drug dealing, etc. Your deferred adjudication wouldn't even register as an issue if you are a decent worker.

I've worked almost 30 years in Healthcare, 24 of those as a RN. My back isn't as strong as it used to be.

There's some labor work you can do even with some back issues, it'll suck but you can do it. The guy I landscaped for broke his back and was still working in a back brace, dude's as crazy as he is tough though. When I was with a painting company I worked with a few guys that had back problems, I even worked with a back problem while I was there, it sucked but it was doable. If you can manage in one of those long enough to save up to get a CDL or Hoisting license that's another thing you could try that will pay better and a background check shouldn't be an issue.

For those who believe in that sort of thing.

@Hachiko, whats your preference? keep a dialogue going in here? IM with members? Phone? Face to face?
Nope
