I could tig it for you.
I mean, you said nothing about it having to be functional. |

Epoxy won’t last. Retap, use quality screws. If you don’t have the skill set a competent gunsmith should be able to take care of it.

Looks like a job for construction adhesive.
I like the Gorilla Glue brand. Don't cheap out and use Liquid Nails. Buy once, cry once. That's what I always say. |

@Kaik your thighs are needed in here |

isn't that some chinese optic?
as others have said, drill it out and retap/thread it, use high quality steel hex screws you might have to drill the base out slightly too. should be an easy enough job. |

I would suggest getting some helicoil inserts of the proper thread pitch, and use JB weld to set them in the holes, provided you have extracted the stub. The trick is to thread the helicoil on a screw coated in wax first, that way the hardware will break free and leave the coil in place. I had to that to a buddy's ACOG after he snapped the screws using ft/lb wrench for in/lb settings. He got the stubs out, but mangled the holes in the process...

I bought this thing and it conveniently/deceptively stands up like this.
Attached File That's what it was doing in the hotel until I bumped the table. Then it did a Triple Lindy off the table, onto the floor, directly on the optic. Noticed it was a bit loose, took it apart and had stripped screws. Tried to drill and tap, didn't work. Think the downfall was the little height extender and longer screws in it. |

Drill smaller holes in the center of the screws and use an EZ out to dig into it. The harder they dig in the more it wants to unscrew the screw.
Or completely drill the screws out totally and re-tap the aluminum body with a bottoming tap (you'll have to go up one-size, or you can install a heli-coil but that's probably getting a bit much for a china optic) |
|
There isn't any broken screws. That's just freshly drill aluminum in the pic. The screws are all out.

put in small time-serts

Epoxy with larger screws in place, epoxy between mount and sight. Clamp tight for curing.

E-Z Coil repair kit
Not sure the screw size you have. I posted a #6-32, they also have #5-40 and a #4 of some sort. You need a heli-coil. A thread insert would work too, but you'll need the proper drill bit and tap. You need to figure out what screw you have. Fix it right, or it'll fail again and be an even more fucked up piece of shit. |

Aluminum seems real soft, holes are shallow. Wasn't working out. Did you use a tap for a blind hole? No. Used a normal one with a taper point to get it started. Then cut the tip off of another one and made a "blind hole" type. It wasn't working out. Off to the hardware store to maybe purchase some crap to see if this can be salvaged. |

There was a guy on Youtube that tested like 10 different brands of adhesives on all sorts of different materials. I can't remember the brand that won, but it was impressive how much weight it took to break it free. If it's a cheap optic I'd probably search for the video and buy that stuff and not skimp on the surface prep. I'd have a new optic and mount ready to go as well.
