Well I do.  I have a MK III 22/45 as a host.  I want another little .22 plinker, a host also.

I have looked at and held the M&P compact 22, like it, feels good in my hand, LGS has one on the shelf

I have 2 G19s, like them lots, could grab a .22 conversion top half and swap around and save a few bucks

who has the M&P and likes it?  how do you like the G19 conversion slides?

who has something else they would suggest just cause you want to be different

no poll and pics with suppressors are cool

I really like my Buckmark. You can get them from the factory with threaded bbls now.

(I haven't threaded mine yet.)

You ever shot one of them?

Buckmark. I've had a camper model for about 18 years. Wonderful trigger. Need the get my newborn daughter one for when she's older.

But a .22 G19 would be sweet.

SP01 with the Kadet slide is fucking awesome.

Finding a threaded one is tough though.  I got lucky.

My next .22 handgun will probably be a Ruger LCR-X.

A .22LR Kel-Tec P3AT/Ruger LCP size gun would be awesome.

Looks like you're already on the right track, and have plenty of options to choose from:

M&P .22C
Browning Buckmark
S&W Victory
Ruger Mk IV Lite
Ruger SR22
Beretta M9_22LR
Any Older High Standard

Another idea would be a Ruger Charger, or a 4.5" CMMG barrel in an AR pistol.

I have both the MkIII "RIO" target model and an M&P .22c hosts for my White Sparrow

The MkIII is a tackdriver, but the M&P gets a hell of a lot more use because it's just so damn fun.

I like my S&W M&P22, compact.

Sweet shooter, has a threaded barrel adapter, eats everything I feed it.

Have the Ruger SR22 and S&W Victory. Both nice guns and I've recommended them to friends.

I have a colt labled 1911 made by Umarex.
Same size as my full size 1911.

It has never misfired, failed to feed or eject any .22 ammunition I have fed it.
I use it to shoot forest chickens in the fall.
Very accurate it is, and easy to shoot.

I have the M&P and love it.  Never an issue, even with subsonic ammo.  I cleaned it recently after about 750 rds, but it runs dirty or clean.  I have an Outback 2 and no issues running that either.

That reminds me...

I used to have a GSG 1911-22 that was a lot of fun to shoot! Quite accurate, and very reliable.

I love my m&p22c.  I had to file the slide catch and silver part on the slide, but ran great after that.  It also fits in a lot of holsters for g19s.

Dislike conversion kits and would rather have a whole additional gun for the little $$ savings it would be.

The mp also has a static barrel, no tilting for a can.

I've been very pleased with my Beretta M-9 22.
No complaints.

ETA I used mine for handgun qualifications & in the words of the person scoring "scored very high."
No malfunctions, 48 of 50 rounds in the target with 2 strays outside the line.

Ok.. I will be the voice of reason here.

Truth:

The Smith Victory is the best .22 pistol under a grand for accuracy.  (Especially if you remove the magazine safety disconnect).
The "finest" .22 Pistol made that isn't an Olympic style pistol is the Smith Model 41.  End of discussion.

Everything else is arguing style.

I think you’ve already got the best with the Ruger MK series. A .22 conversion for a 1911 would be pretty cool IMHO though.

Browning Buckmark is a super fun host especially when you do the spring flip trigger mod. The M&P is also very fun but the sights are garbage and need replaced imho.

The Buckmark is a good Gun.  I had a M&P but hated it. Didn’t find it accurate and the sights did suck

My favorite is my Ruger MK III Hunter.  It has a Volquartsen triggering it.  I picked up a Pak-lite upper for it.  Really a nice all round gun.   I can mount ca scope or red dot or just use iron sights
Good for Bullseye plinking and with the Pak-lite packs easy on a trail

I too have a Mk lll cocobolo/stainless and it is a supremely accurate pistol to shoot.  My wife and kids learned on it and when I need to get back to basics it what I shoot.  I also got a Sig Mosquito (80% scale version of a 226) for training and plinking.  I love that little gun

Different and small you say?
This has become a nice shooter after a long break-in of around 500 rounds.
It has it's quirks, but I have plenty of other .22 pistols that don't so this is just fun when I want to shoot something different.

The Buckmark is great and has ergos along te lines of a 1911.

I got a Mark III because I wanted to simulate te grip angle of a Glock (loosely).

Those two are my overwhelming recommendations.

No
I just use it as a hammer drop/DA trigger. Carry it with it off / hammer forward.
