I'm tired of crappy ink jet printers....
I need something for..... Home use.... Wireless compatible... Bulletproof... Long lasting toner ... Don't care about scan/copy/fax...but those are not deal-breakers if the machine has them... Any recommendations? |

Brother is a popular one here.
They have B&W wireless laser printers. I have one of their color ones and it does the job. |
|
Do you need AirPrint? I have a Canon MF232w and have been very happy with it. Toner cartridges are reasonable. I don’t pull out my laptop much anymore since I can easily print documents from my phone.
Brother lasers are also solid. All of my secretaries have a Brother AIO and they have been solid. |

Would recommend Brother.
Currently have a Brother Color Laser, no complaints. |

Had a canon mf series that lasted about ten years before the fuser failed.
Now on a brother for about two years and pretty happy with it. |

I have a Brother Color all in one that I love. They make excellent B&W also. I have recommended them to several friends. I was on a run for a bit finding brother B&W printers at our local electronics Goodwill until they repurposed the store. Usually they would need the toner or drum reset and they would work fine. The wireless works well and their Android/Apple apps are very good. My last one I saw there was an all in one. I fired it up and ran a test page. I took it to work to offer to my coworker and he purchased it. I ran a report page it had only printed 35 sheets. It was basically new. Lastly buy an all in one. It is very handy to be able to scan stuff. Plus its nice to throw a page on it and hit copy.

HP laser jet pro mfp m148dw
It's what I have after I ditched the inkjet crap/scam. Been very happy with it! |

Got a Brother HL-2380DW and love it. Wifi, B&W laser printer with flatbed scanner on top.
You can buy off brand ink cartridges on Amazon for about $7-8 bucks on sale. Got tired of trying to keep a bunch of HP color cartridges in my old printer with kids in the house. |

Quoted: Brother laser. View Quote Agreed. I've been using Brother stuff for about 15 years and have not been disappointed, excepting the inevitable mechanical and electronic failures common to any modern piece of disposable electronics. Aftermarket toner and ink cartridges are readily available and CHEAP! I have a Brother inkjet and a Brother B/W laser in the office right now. Both older and performing flawlessly. |

I bought a Brother HL-L2315DW at Wal-Mart for about $90. Black-and-white Wi-Fi printer and so far, so good. I got sick of expensive HP inkjet printers that die after 6 months of non-use and decided to switch brands and get a laser.

I'm going to go against the grain and suggest going with Sabre. Best in the business.

Brother. However, mine came with a wimpy toner cartridge in the box. Buy a real one when you buy the printer.

Honestly, I recommend Canon over Brother. I used to sell computer equipment so I judge the quality of things based on how many times they were returned for repair and warranty issues.
Avoid Lexmark like the plague. Brother is not bad but Canon's are at the top of my list. |
|
OP.
I just recently purchased a HP Laserjet Pro M118dw Wireless to replace a 15 year old Brother 2070 that finally gave up the ghost. I have it directly connected to my network so l can't comment on how it works on WiFi, but for use on a wired network it works great. Good luck with your decision. |

My wife and I have two Brothers and a Canon. All three are great.

Got a Samsung ML-3750 from work. Fast as shit and toner lasts forever.

Brother for sure. Pretty inexpensive too, ~$120 for printer/scanner with AirPrint/network print. Between the fiancé and I being in grad/undergrad class, have printed off a fuckton of shit. Buy the knockoff toner that’s like 2x for $15.
Haven’t had any issues in the two years I’ve had it so far. Like a damn Glock. Add paper and toner and it just goes. |

Quoted: Brother. However, mine came with a wimpy toner cartridge in the box. Buy a real one when you buy the printer. View Quote All you need is the Amazon COMPLETE refill kit, that includes everything you need to turn it into the full capacity cartridge. The one that comes with the printer is the same as the one you buy, but it's only got a partial load of toner in it. Usually good for 700-ish pages... Just get the Brother. Ride it like you stole it. When it breaks, buy another one for $100..... I had a "TANK" HP-4, and it was great until it broke. After the first couple of $100 repairs, I ditched it.... BROTHER, brother.... |

If you can find an HP1018 LaserJet NOS they last forever. Mines been going for a few decades now.

I bought a HP LaserJet Pro M118dw. It prints on both sides. I love it.

Brother HL-L6200DW -
The toner cartridges have a life expectancy of up to 12,000 pages, and are available from aftermarket suppliers for around $30. Prints pages for less than you can do it with a copying machine - i.e., just a couple cents per page. The paper bin holds an entire ream of paper. |

I'm still running the HP Laserjet P3010 that I inherited from my old job. Works like a charm and generic toner is cheap.
|
|
I'll agree with the Brother recommendation. I bought a B&W Laser Printer a few years ago for around $40. It doesn't do Wifi but it does duplex. It has been a great printer. I would not hesitate buying another one.

I bought a Brother HL-2240 several years ago. All plastic and feels cheap and flimsy but has had no problems.
