At first I thought how lame

Through time and repeated exposure I now cant stop thinking about roaming around in the woods in the dead of night with noodle eyes along with an eotech and IR laser equipped 357 lever gun

Paint it in M81 and give it to me

Those never grew on me I just want a regular  wood stocked one with a threaded barrel and no rails.

You know, I'm strangely intrigued by that....

Dammit, I don't need ANOTHER "Hey! why not....." firearm on the list.

Do it - but make it a tactical short barrel lever action. Maybe start with a detachable mag model and really go all out.

I recently tried a friend's uberti 1873 replica in .38/.357. Loved it.

Good woods gun carried with a revolver in .357.  Good combo set up.

Not much better than a classic .357 lever rifle

That the Henry big boy x?

I feel thats the one I keep gravitating towards

Im not sure how many 'tactical' options are out there. I mostly just want the threaded barrel and ability to throw on one of those sexy rails

Meh, I've got a JM Marlin 1895 stainless guide gun that's threaded with a three prong flash hider on it- I've never shot it.    I do carry a tuned .357 Rossi 92 with a leather sling on it around the woods sometimes.

If it were in 357 Id ask if you want it taken off your hands

45-70 seems neat and all but I dont want to adopt another caliber or have to buy a new suppressor

Same. I had my 30-30 336 chopped to 16" and threaded for a can and I love it.

I tried an RMR on a section of rail, but I went back to a 3-9x scope in the 1" rings bolted directly to the receiver.

I need to work up some subs for it with Trail Boss and 150gr plated flat nose projectiles from Berry's

I like lever action rifles but the new style tactical ones have failed to grow on me yet. They look cool but I’m pretty sure their main purpose for existing is to sell rifles - the AR market is so saturated that manufacturers have had to mix it up and sell fancy tactical lever guns.

There is some benefit to running them with suppression though. They have a faster rate of fire than a bolt action and suppress better than a semi auto.

For sure I do

You probably dont have to worry about 158 38s going super with the longer barrel right?

I reload anyways so I guess it doesnt matter too much

I have a Henry Bigboy-X in .357.  It's a riot with a 9mm can and 38spl.  I use it with a YHM R9 and a YHM Sidewinder.  Very quiet.

I have a ranger point precision handguard, but I'd recommend the MI with top rail.  RPP is cheaper, but a PITA to install and no top rail.

.357 side loader lever gun with a threaded barrel for my ready-and-waiting Octane

HELL YEAH!

Here’s my 1980 production Marlin 1894 with Eotech HHS V borrowed from another rifle. .357 magnum velocity scales really well with barrel length.

Lever guns have a certain compactness because of the slim receiver and no magwell protrusions.

I love my suppressed 22
I don’t want all the tactical crap but I would love a suppressed big bore lever gun that shoots at least a 400g projectile

I really have found myself wanting a suppressed lever gun.  But “tactical” means a not what I am after.  I don’t understand the desire for it either, it’s just an odd combination for me.  Everything firearms doesn’t need to be “tactical”.

But if you enjoy it, you do you.

I love .45-70 lever guns but I can't seem to bring myself to go all out tactical on mine.  This is a far as I can go...

BTW, Palmetto State Armory/AAC should start making some reasonably priced .45-70 ammo!
