This liberal sumabitch nails it.
Sebastian Junger: Why veterans miss war His two documentaries were awesome, and even though they were a different country, the brotherhood shown existed for me and mine. |

It's because we generally agree with your self assessment. You're retarded. Not edgy, retarded.

Some things are re-lived. No need to return to some of them.
They come back to you. |

Pretty insightful.
The other thing that really sucks is with augmentees you get a bunch of dudes from a bunch of different units and then before you realize it you haven't seen them for 10 years. |

Because war is conflict, and conflict that you win is primal.
His "peace-loving" audience does not know how to preserve peace. His "peace-loving" audience also doesn't understand anything about how males work, or understand the difference between men and women. Every time telling his audience "how to stop war"... you stop wars by winning. And you will never stop war. Clausewitz's famous quote applies, and there will always be those who want to dominate, and those people in his audience will start wars because they think they know better than others. |

I own the night. And day. I can sleep when I'm dead. No thanks. Doc STG1 says motrin and water, change your socks and implement the sleep plan. I was in OIF 1-2-3 2003-2004-2005-2006 and AFG 2011 I was fucking living for it. I miss the friends I was medically retired as well. |

It has been 50 years since I have been in combat.
I would not trade the experience for a million bucks, but I would not do it again for 10 million. |

I miss my friends\brothers\sisters not the shit holes of the world.

You are who you are today. Not the you that fought in a war, and not the you, you want to be.

look at the cunts in the audience... its like they are disgusted listening to him. Liberal fucks. Some people just can't bear the thought of war... yet they love their freedom.

I think he is on to something but I think at least for me it's the excitement of the mission, the feeling of accomplishment at the end of the day and the singularity of purpose while deployed.
