I just quit my job with no notice (Page 1 of 3)

After 13 years basically doing the same job, I done upped and quit this morning. I have been dealing with unbelievable amounts of stress, after a new company took over in 2024. Has been really bad the last few weeks. Got an ass chewing yesterday for something that was not related to me. Then today they called an emergency mandatory meeting, and announced new clock in rules that will reduce my pay, by a sizable amount. I handed them my keys and said "See Ya"! Think I am going to open a HotDog Cart. Lol  |

I did something similar in November. Payroll guy couldn't understand the companies app for time on site. My daily reports are signed by the owner/client. I'm not going to deal with a guy or anybody else that can't admit they are at fault. I fuck up plenty on my own. Good luck moving ahead on the hot dog thing. I think I'm just going to retire and collect you know. SS.

Also, a hidden expense, some towns require you to have a separate commercial kitchen - yes, even for hotdogs. |

Six years ago I was teaching at a private school…7 different subjects in 9 classes a day. This was after five years. At the start of the year they cut my pay by 1/3rd down to $400 a week. Did it for the fun and to keep busy. Mrs Rabinowitz was retiring in one year. I had to take a day off without pay because Mrs R was having major surgery. I got an email chewing me out for sending an email with an innocuous error in the subject line. He said it made the school look bad. I went in the following week and handed over lesson plans, calculator, and grade book. In my letter of resignation I explained that Mrs R needed round the clock care. I didn’t even shake his hand. I drove off and never looked back. Zero regrets. |
