I made over 10% in the last year, so I did alright.

Glad I got out before tomorrow.

The stock market isn't instantly gonna tank. Biden is friends with Wall Street too. You jumped too soon. When he starts printing money, then be worried.

I was heavily invested in oil companies.  I feel as though now is the right time to get out of that.

Only 10% in the last year? Jesus Christ.

I say this as a person that bought and held on to XOM for a few months thinking it would recover. So glad I dumped it for tech stocks.

I hate drops but when I see them, I look at them as buying opps to buy more shares that I'm pretty sure will keep paying divs or will go back up.

Same with PMs, buy in the Dips...  I financed a couple of really nice rifles from taking a small bit of profit from my gains.

You know Biden plans on spending trillions to give right back to Wallstreet?

Not going to invest in anything else at the current market "high".  I'll wait until it drops then buy in on the cheap.

LOL. You clearly are not very good at this.

The S&P 500 made 18% in 2020. Nasdaq made 45%.

For your sake put all your money in an index fund like VTSAX or VTI and never sell until you need to use the money for something.

Silly fools. This is 2020. Printing money = inflation = higher stock prices.

At least in the market as it is now... Remember, the market isn't tied to the economy, and its especially not tied to fundamentals right now and hasn't been for years. Ironically since 0bama.

Invest today's dollars to make tomorrow's money is the schtick now.

Hold on to your money and get ready to reinvest, it's going to be March 2020 all over again!  The Pedo Joe gang will go hog wild with energy and draconian China Flu shutdowns and businesses will tank again and stocks will plummet, prime investing opportunities.

And be bold, Cotton, the fact you only made 10% shows timidity and an overabundance of caution!

Why is that?
Over the last year every time we started up the printing press the market went up
Every time there was a hiccup in negotiations on stimulus press to crank up the market went down

This just showed you have absolutely NO IDEA what you are talking about.  What do you think your mutual funds are invested in? THE STOCK MARKET.

And $1000?!  LOL.  Do NOT give investment advice ever. Bragging about a 10% return in last years market? Another indicator of your immeasurable financial ignorance.

WHY WOULD YOU GIVE INVESTMENT ADVICE?  You have zero experience or knowledge on the subject. Why on earth would you think you are qualified at all?  JFC....

My wife's grandmother did exactly that in in 2016. Crazy liberal. They were heavily invested in a few lots and one house they planned to flip, which they did at a loss just before the housing market took off. I still laugh my ass off thinking about the money they threw away. Now they just sold their house up north (have one in Florida still) to try and get enough money scrapped together to live on.

I think oil has potential.  Democrats cracking down on oil always drives up the prices, and now is a pretty good time to buy.  Another one I’m looking at is certain coal companies.  Some super wealthy democrats bought up ARCH and other companies after Obama tanked them.  If they are serious about pushing electric vehicles dollar isn’t going to touch that demand.  Only oil coal and nuclear can right now, and I don’t see any new nukes in process.
