Number 150. This is the same design as the three I posted about a few months ago. They are pretty hard to make.
Here's a link to that thread, if anyone is interested in seeing three more of that design: https://www.ar15.com/forums/general/A-new-pipe-design-give-me-feedback/143-2524435/ |

You do excellent work! I like 150 the best, it's a very cool look. They all are very nice though.
I remember my Dad sitting and smoking a pipe, and the tobacco always smelled so good. He was a graphic artist and would have really liked the look of these. |

Sir, Where do you get the stems? Briar? How do you carve them? We you do a step by step? |

Quoted: I made three new ones (of a new design) a few months ago. I posted them here, and y'all gave me some nice feedback. But other than that, I haven't made a lot of pipes in the past six months at least. I've been disgustingly busy with work, and working on pipes just never made it to the top of my To Do list. But now I finally had some extra time, and have gotten FINALLY five more done over the past two weeks and weekends. Wow. 149 is my kind of pipe. Beautiful, and thanks for sharing.

Quoted: Number 147. I'm not sure what style is even called. It was very much an "emergent phenomenon" that just kind of took shape as I was making it. It was originally going to be similar to 146. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/1715/SMALL0010-2376883.jpg https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/1715/SMALL0011-2376884.jpg https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/1715/SMALL0012-2376885.jpg https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/1715/SMALL0013-2376886.jpg https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/1715/SMALL0014-2376887.jpg https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/1715/SMALL0015-2376888.jpg https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/1715/SMALL0016-2376889.jpg View Quote Call it "the Seaman". Or "El Capitan" so it isn't so obvious. Or whatever the viking equivilent is |

You should make a forward AR15 grip that doubles as a deep bowl pipe with finger groves like that. The stem can seal inside the bowl when not in use. Now that would be cool! I really don't know what's wrong with my brian or where that came from.

Nice work. #149 is my pick but I'm a plain basic billiard tall bowl sort of guy.
Super clean finishes by the way. Totally respect the hand work that goes into these. |

Impressive work!!! I opened expecting glass work but these pipes are quite impressive. You are an artist OP!

Outstanding work DK. Really like the exposed bark/plateau section on the 150. Would love to see your take on some traditional danish shapes, a plateau top bent dublin or freehand style. Keep up the good work.

I''ve been in the market for a pipe to diversify from my usual cigar habit and went to your website to see what you had. I am VERY close to buying that #149 "blemish" that I can't tell is a blemish. Let me have a bourbon after putting the youngin to bed. You might have an email later.

How much for 146? Had to edit, since everyone else likes 149, I'll get beat for that one.

View Quote Unfortunately, 146 was gone a while ago, and I got thirstyswimmer's email last night, so he snagged that one. That said, I will definitely be making more in that style since it is very popular, so if you are interested, you can always shoot me an IM - and that way, I can make it in the precise style and finish you'd like. |

Damn, I emailed you this morning about 149, looks like I'm late to the party

Not a pipe maker but I do make stuff. Average price for your pipes? High - low maybe?
Thanks. |

I will admit that I was a difficult customer. I hope I didn't dissuade you from future business DK, because I love the pipe! I have yet to master the burn rate, but it's coming along. Being a cigar smoker primarily before this, I have much to learn.
Thanks again DK Attached File Also would like to know where these matches were sourced. They put our usuals to shame. |

@DK-Prof
I'm in the market and the pickin's look slim. Anything in the works? |

Quoted: @DK-Prof I'm in the market and the pickin's look slim. Anything in the works? View Quote You are 100% correct, and it's embarrassing! The inventory is low, and I have unfortunately been ridiculously busy with my "normal" day job, that I have not had as much time for pipes. In fact, I am working now, and just checking in on arfcom for a quick break. Working on a Saturday morning is just sad. My plan is to try to find time in a few weeks to make three or four pipes, and try to get back to a better state. If you want to IM me what style you like, I can definitely put you at the top of the list, but it will probably be at least a couple of weeks. |

IM sent. No rush.
This will be my first pipe. I'm going to need some tobacco recommendations. |
