| I have a 12" double barrel 12ga. It is an absolute blast. I am trying to do the e-file for a 14" 870, but I was having problems with the system. I'll be looking for an A5 this year . I've always had a thing for short shot guns and rifles. My next submission will be for my Ruger American .300 Blackout. |

I did an 870 a few years ago. $200 + $50 (new front sight bead) and it's pretty fun. throws hate, and the fireballs from slugs makes peoples' butts pucker at the range. Not so fun on the shoulder but meh, they never are. I bought a double, tried to efile a while ago but it got rejected for some reason and I never went back to it. I really don't think we'll see a lot of sub $300 SxS or O/U for a bit since a lot of us want to do those now that they are "free". I also looked into making my 870 into a "super shorty". Since it needs machining, it would need like $100 worth of work for me to end up with fewer rounds and saving like 4" overall, so I passed. But a buddy grabbed a JACK aow recently and that gave me wood, so it may need to be added to the list of wants this year. Not a need, one SBS I don't shoot often is clearly enough, but damn I want more. |

https://www.classicfirearms.com/blue-line-solutions-bl-18-pump-action-12-gauge-shotgun-18-barrel-525252/ Plus a Hacksaw right at where the mag tube ends should give you around 14 inches. They're basically Rem 870 clones but they're all metal. Seen a couple of burn downs on them and they held up pretty well. I always use Militec TW-25 on mine, it seems to slick it up. I think it takes Mossberg furniture though, instead of Rem, and I don't know why. Plus, the forend and magtube is a different spec, and might require you to sand it out if you're going to swap it. IF you really want to go all out, I think the Woox furniture will fit it. But it's hard to beat for only 129 plus shipping and ffl. I don't think there's a better home defense gun that an SBS, especially with low recoil rounds. IF I didn't already have one, I would definitely do this. |

Is Midwest gun works a legit site to buy from? I see they have some Benelli m4 sbs in stock but when everyone is out of the same item I worry that they are like dack outdoors, botach, an optics planet. Benelli Instock |

They have a 5 shot mag tube, not 4 shot. If they're true to what the H&R guns were they take Remington furniture but a different thread pitch for the stock bolt. |

| Hot take - overrated. I SBS’d my 20 ga Shockwave. It’s handy for home defense but honestly I prefer a G19 with light for that. Or if I wanted to go outside my 18” 590 is preferable. Or my AR. To be honest I kind of regret it. Fun to blast away at the range with but so was my Shockwave. Could live without it. |

DO IT OP! Did mine a few years ago. It's fun at parties. REM model 11 sportsman. I bought it cheap at a gun show after pointing out that the US MIL flaming bomb stamps were faked and the guy knew it. Sent off to Rose Action to cut, thread for tubes and install a bead. Steve is one hell of a guy and does great work! Extended extra full turkey choke threaded in this pic. Do Not! I repeat DO NOT shoot 1 5/8 OZ turkey loads in this thing unless you want a bloody nose and to see stars. Ask me how I know. Attached File Attached File |

I have a hacksaw, cutoff wheel and a 12ga H&K Fp6 that has been looking at me funny. Should I FO? Also have a Stoeger m3000 that runs great. Its set up for hunting and 3gun. Been wanting to get a spare barrel, cut it down and thread to make a full choke shorty option for coyote hunting at night. |

Just did a few Form-1's for a Winchester 120 slug gun - getting shortened with rifle sights to 14" and a Remington 870 and a factory 14" barrel. $0.00 invested in tax stamps - why not. I haven't had the balls to chop my Remington Model 11 Riot -But anytime I see a well done SBS, makes me re-think it. I like the one in this video  The Sexiest Model 11 "Whippet" Shotgun! |

I had one of the H&R versions of this gun. it'll probably be longer than 14" if i remember correctly. I dont have one to compare anymore. |
