I got a little carried away with fdisk last month as I was wiping drives...

Fdisked all the partitions on my workstation (work) drive AND my games drive in my laptop about 10 seconds apart.

I slowed down after I got my workstation reloaded...

No joke when I was a kid my brother who is two years younger than me was up in my father's office playing on his computer. He was always curious about computers. He quietly walked halfway down the stairs and my dad was sitting in his recliner reading the paper and my brother says, 'Daddy, what does format c mean?'

I have never seen my father move so fast, he was up the stairs in a second. My brother had formatted my father's entire computer.  My brother was 5 or 6 at the time and was just kind of typing random things on the keyboard to see what they did. This was back in the days of DOS 2.x days so early to mid 1980s.

My dad never actually even got mad at him for doing it because he had backed it all up. Hell his backups even had backups. I remember afteremy dad passed away we were cleaning his office out and found all kinds of floppy disks with old out of date and obsolete operating systems on them.

It's amazing what really little kids can do. I have all of those old DOS 2.0 and above and there were some fun games that you can't play on new computers. I have a x486 box around for the old stuff.

I had someone bring me a computer for repair once, claimed that it just "quit" but the system32 folder was completely gone. So yeah there are people who fell for that.

She makes or at least alludes to some points I've been making for a while.  The hoplophobia formula which means someones knowledge of guns is inversely proportional to their fear of guns, i.e. if you are highly knowledgeable about guns your fear of them is low, not to say you don't respect their power though.  Also the govt. should reimburse citizens who buy an AR pattern rifle, get trained on it & practice regularly.

Also, NOT guilty!

After a series of about 20 firings me and another guy on the east coast figured we were the last two with the enterprise password for the entire DoD agency. The agency had gone through three different IT support contractors in pretty short order. Most of the people carry over contract-to-contract but not the management or some of the senior guys.
