That pipe is baller. Enjoy a fine evening of having Peterson in your mouth. I used to smoke cigarettes and once decided a pipe would help me cutback or quit. I’d roll up in a bar with this pipe, shoot the eternal shit with people, and point at them with the stem (?) when talking to them. I should buy another pipe, like yours though, except bigger. Peterson of Dublin actually got their start making sex toys. *Holy shit, that pipe wasn’t cheap! OP is indeed a man of taste. |

Thanks! Those ones you mentioned are the “freehand” pipes. I have a couple and they are unremarkable smokers. I have settled on Canadian / Lumberman styles as my favorites to actually smoke. Bent stems are a pain to send a pipe cleaner down. |

| Nice, I've got a couple of Churchwardens, they were my favorites for sitting around the fire after hunting. Never smoked a lot, but it really started messing with my sinuses, they'd be all stopped up the next morning, so I stopped altogether. I miss it more than having a drink by the fire. |

Looking for projects, I got some stummels and stems off eBay for $30 or so and decided to take a whack at it. The stems are vulcanite as I can’t abide acrylic stems. I have to cut them down to fit, but that’s no great task on a metal mini lathe.  The second one is in progress.

Cult Blood Red Moon is one to be on the lookout for . I like Plum Pudding and have really been enjoying trying alot of the “cake” and “ plug” tobaccos. Spread it out on a paper towel indoors. Depending on the blend, it may be dry enough in 2-3 hours. The goopier blends like Captain Black will take longer, maybe overnight. My preferred moisture level is dry to the touch but still flexible. It shouldn’t stick together in a wad when you take a pinch out. If it crunches in your fingers, it’s too dry. Put a few drops of water on it and seal it back up for a day or two. |
