The pic is here:

Here is a screen shot :

Would you guys have any recommendations on how to get that blown up to poster size?

I was thinking it would be a good addition to my reloading room.

Bronson wasn't the greatest actor ever, but he carried some garbage movies on his back uphill both ways in the snow.

The problem is going to be the resolution of the print.  It will get more blurry the bigger the poster is.

Some places won't allow this type of reproduction due to copyright issues.

Yessir!

Maybe it was the “cinematography” back then.... in some respects....

Or on the flip side, maybe movie goers have just become dumber over time....

But in “The Mechanic” there is a kind  of a subtlety.  You have to be an attentive movie watcher.

Movies nowadays seem like  they have to lead watchers by the nose through the plot.

What rifle is that?  It almost looks like it has an external hammer.

This

Unless your idea of a poster is a postcard, it’s going to look like utter crap using that pic as a source.

If you download the source file at 3003 px wide, that’s about 41 inches at 72 pixel per inch. A quality print should be 300 pixels (or dots) per inch.

You could try an enlarging filter in Photoshop to bump up the resolution to at least 200 ppi (I’ve used Alienskin with decent results). An older still isn’t going to be crisp, anyway. You won’t make it sharper with any filters, but you can get rid of what they call artifacts in the image.

Just go to Sir Speedy or something. If it’s just a single image, you should be ok.

Kool!

In trying to find that pic/image, I learned about these things called “lobby cards”  .  I guess it is what the movie theaters put out in the lobby as an advertisement for coming attractions.

I am thinking the poster I saw about 27 years ago started out as a lobby card :

Unless there is another movie with a scene of Charles Bronson on the range by himself with some target or sniper rifle.

Shutterfly doesn't seem to care. I had a South Park image printed on a grocery bag. I expected them to reject the submission but they just printed and mailed it.
