Or at least how this kind of energy drink... Works. The primary ingredient is a supplement called Cyanocobalamin. Which is quite literally made with cyanide. Don't believe me? Oh and here's the key piece of information I wish someone had told me about five years ago... People who suffer from kidney problems should not take large doses of cyanocobalamin due to their inability to efficiently metabolize cyanide View Quote |

I never understood why people buy this shit instead of coffee.

5 hour energy is not an energy drink. Also just vitamin b 12. B vitamins are the most to be defficient in. I will continue to smash monsters.

V8 Energy works really well and tastes a thousand times better than anything else.

I never really felt like I got much of anything out of these things.
I bought some phenylpiracetam and adrafinil for when I have to pull an all nighter on short notice, that stuff is really interesting, but if I take it for more than a couple of days it really seems to lose its luster as well. The phenylpiracetam feels the most pronounced, it's hard to explain but it makes you feel more aware whereas the adrafinil just staves off tiredness. Also most energy drinks taste like cough syrup. |
|
I just use this. It's good, and good for ya!!!

Fake fucking news.
Cyanocobalamin is synthetic vitamin B12. Dosage of B12 is measured in MICROgrams, which are 1000 times SMALLER than MILLIgrams. A *large* dose is 1000 MICROgrams, or 1 MILLIgram. The LD50 of cyanide is 50-200 MILLIGRAMS, which is 50,000 to 200,000 MICROgrams of *only* cyanide. There is NO FUCKING WAY anybody is getting cyanide toxicity from a B12 supplement. |

However, in CKD patients, the reduced cyanide clearance prevents conversion of cyanocobalamin to the active form and therefore supplementation is less effective
Has nothing to do with the toxicity of cyanide on the mitochondria. It has to do with elevated homocysteine levels and the inability to get methylcobalamin in the body. |

I'm glad I'm back to mostly coffee. I feel so much better not drinking energy drinks all the time. I'm good with black coffee now. I have an energy drink once in a while.
I'm scared that when I have to go back to the office I'll relapse. Working at home let's me comfortably make a couple mini pots of coffee every day. |

Bacchus-D. It’s delicious. I’ve wondered what it would be like as a mixer.

Anyone who drinks "energy drinks" or anything remotely related to them will have their dialysis, insulin, and triple bypass paid for by the American taxpayer, most likely.
