Hello,

Currently I don't have a 3D printer, nor do I cad.

Thinking about getting a printer, and doing gun stuff with it.

Got the CDNN email saying they have $10 RP9 barrels.

Would it be feasible to modify prints for something like the Shuty/Gluty to use these cheap barrels rather than a more expensive Glock barrel?

Thanks for the advice.

Simply, not really for a newbie.

It would likely take many hours of an experienced designer to make the mods.

Agreed.  However, this shouldn't discourage you from buying a 3D printer and learning CAD.

I wouldn't say its super-advanced stuff to do but it does take a little knowledge of the program your using. It's more of a balance between adding and subtracting features hoping you don't encounter an error the CAD software can't think around. Essentially when you import a .STL file to modify you are only working with a "wireframe" model and you have to force your modifications to it. A lot of times it takes a bit of trial and error to get what you want whereas you could save time by just recreating the part drawing from scratch.
