I ordered a bipod in mid September still hasn't shown up and have called and they said it would be here in a week or two. I just cancelled my order after broken promises. I thought they were a big outfit. I guess they are losing a customer.

Was it in stock at the time of purchase?

Did you get charged?

Did they give tracking?

Discontinued?

I am a “want it yesterday” guy and I always call to verify the item is in stock. If not, move on to the next retailer. I’ve ordered stuff from them a few times but never experienced what you did.

I have ordered multiple times without problems until the last order. Said in stock next day got an email of back order without a est date. I had to end up canceling the order.

I ordered a set of binos off them as they were the lowest cost by far.

I ordered them WELL IN ADVANCE of when I needed them. Ordered them 3 weeks before I left for my hunt.

Bastards were sitting on my front porch when I returned from my hunt 1-2 weeks later. So.....4-5 weeks total.

Didn’t get to use them for deer hunting for another year.

Last fall, I ordered an ACOG that was easily 40% below the next best price. Arrived as stated within a few days. Guess I got lucky.

I ordered a big ticket item from them once. They sent me an email asking for my CC information and signature as a snail-mail before they would fill the order. I understand why, but I took my money somewhere else. That's a huge inconvenience.

Make sure you get a discount code from the other thread on here, it makes it a little more tolerable. Only once did it take longer than a week to get my items, it was in stock until I bought it. Two weeks later I asked that they cancel the order, and it shipped that day. Oh well. I'll probably buy from them again, I just won't be in a huge hurry for a part to finish a build.

I ordered a bipod awhile back. Said it was in stock when ordered. Got a message saying it is currently out of stock, will ship when restocked. Didn’t matter because wasn’t in a rush. Got it 2 months later. Like a Christmas present.

Nice thing is they didn’t charge me until it shipped.

I tried ordering a holster from them once.

I immediately got an out of stock notice. When I contacted customer service, they said I would have it in a month.

I cancelled the order and ordered from somewhere else.

Never again.

They've got to be actually delivering product to somebody to make money, I just don't know who it is.

probably 10 years ago I ordered a PSOP from them.. 3 months later still no show.

canceled and ordered from Kalinka and got it rather quickly..

I never really thought twice about them after that.

My tale of woe:
Shopping for an SBPDW brace. Found a decent price plus an online discount & thought, "This is a good deal."

Having heard previous horror stories, I diligently checked to make sure the item was in stock. Said so online & so did the online chat rep & the guy that answered the phone. I placed my order & began to patiently wait.

About a week later, I received an email stating it was no longer in stock & estimated time for their new shipment to arrive was ~4 wks. No problem, it's nothing I need right now/right away, so I'll patiently wait some more.

6 wks. after the "out of stock" email, I check back in. Still haven't received their new shipment and the new ETA is now ~3-6 months.

FUCK THAT SHIT - Either cancel my order or send me the FDE SB PDW as a replacement (showed as "in stock")

They "replaced" the item I ordered, at my request (& many emails) with the FDE item, but no discount & no coupon, aka full price.

By then, I was done with them & just wanted the brace. It was still a "reasonable" price for the item, but to say I was a bit peeved would be an understatement.

Will never order/use/recommend them to anyone.

Same deal here. Ordered an item that was listed in stock. Get an email saying it was out of stock. I wasn’t in a hurry so I just waited. They ran a sale while i waited that was a better deal than I got, contacted them and got the better price. Eventually got the item.

I've ordered from them dozens of times over the years. 99% perfect transactions. Twice they've sold me an "in stock" item and later e-mailed me saying it would be a week or three before it shipped. Most recently last week when I ordered the Blue Force Gear Micro Trauma Kit. I'm not in a huge rush so i'll let it slide. I enjoy the prices and overall good customer service.

Fair warning, if you need it by a certain date you might want to look elsewhere. I have ordered supposedly in-stock items before, that somehow became estimated to ship within 1-3 days, that took over two month to ship. I do have to say that Optics Planet must have an algorithm setup similar to Amazon because their prices can drop down pretty low but unlike Amazon I have never had them cancel my order.

That said i ordered a scope from them a few months back and it did not show-up for two weeks. I was in no great hurry but damn.

Optics Planet doesn't warehouse almost anything. Its all done as a drop ship it seems. They advertise everything but dont show whether their vendors have the items in stock or not.

I only shop with them if it’s a good deal. Mostly because I may get it in a week or 2 months for “in stock” items...
