That freaking thing checks off every box on my list, and then some.

It needs 4 wheel steering or it is not a Warthog. It's got 4 wheel steering - err kind of.

Quadrasteer was computer aided - so it worked differently at low speeds than high speed. It looks like the system they put on this vehicle is manual. But yes, it works like any low speed 4 wheel steering.

Did he have the license to build this? I remember that guy (B is for Build) got his "Eleanor" Mustang seized by the people that owned the rights

I started a build like 12 years ago and never finished it....

Fail
Doesn't have correct suspension Doesn't have chain gun Feels like Chinese knock off. Should have powered it with quad electric motors to get true suspension and 4 wheel steering. |

Quoted: WTF is a "true suspension" ... and 4wheel steering has nothing to do with EV vs ICE View Quote He's being facetious, suggesting the parallel lever system like the original Warthog from the first game... Attached File |

I saw a small pic of it and assumed they built it on some meh truck chassis.
It is an Ultra4 car underneath.... That is pretty damn cool. |

Thaaaaat is amazing. Cudos to them. Id love to see it in real life. Even better to get to drive it on the beach over about 10 hand grenades. Fly, baby, fly.

I would just run into something and have to wait for it to float down to get traction

Quoted: That's cool, do you still have it? Seems like a ton of work View Quote Still taking up a spot in my shop, yes Bought a house, it took the back burner. Got married and had 2 kids since the last time i actually worked on it. I need to part it out.... I have the low miles 5.7, trans, transfer case etc, along with a S&P engine swap wiring harness to stuff it in anything. |
