Best handguns, now kick-ass Mp5-Mp5ks and soon, G36's HK416's and 417's... HK guns are gonna rule the 2020's (provided Biden doesn't win)
HK fanboys get the last laugh! |

Lol, they are the coolest because they are going to finally start selling a bunch of old shit?

Way to go H&K you really had your finger on the pulse of the civilian U.S. gun market. Not. If they had made widely available the MP5 in semi for civilian sales after Die Hard came out they would have made $87,000,000,000!

I like HK. I applaud them selling everything to us they legally/contractually can now, but their long guns won't reel me in until i can get a 433 with the 308 conversion. |

There's an ass for every seat.
All I have is HK handguns, I see no need to sell anyone else on them. Just makes em harder to find and the price go up. |

In the 1970s, sure.
They’ve been riding their reputation and handing out sweet post-retirement gigs for procure they officers for decades. They haven’t made anything approaching a “class-leader” since the P7 series. |

#USPmasterrace
It’s a fantastic piece of engineering. With that said, I’d like to know why the subsequent models based on the USP use a cheesy polymer donut buffer in the RSA. |

Quoted: Lol, they are the coolest because they are going to finally start selling a bunch of old shit? View Quote Most of the cool guns are the older, classic, timeless designs, not the plastic cheapo crap they make today. The Galil AR and ARM .308 rifles were probably the best back in the 80's and 90's and are still outstanding rifles that took the crude AK47 design, refined and updated it for a much better and far superior rifle. The FN FAL is still a cool .308 rifle. The roller locked HK 91, 93, 33, 53, and 94 are still cool rifle designs. The stuff that you refer to as "$hit" more aptly applies to Glocks and the newer HK and S&W plastic pistols. |

Call me when they start selling civilian G36s that aren't the old SL6s

Quoted: Yeah, because the USP is a POS View Quote It’s not a POS, but it’s nothing special either. My first two handguns were USPs. The trigger is lackluster, especially in DA. The “match” trigger upgrade helped a little. Plastic pistol mags are a terrible idea. They figured this out with the .45 and then the compact guns. The railed dust cover was innovative, but they got fucked by the 1913 spec. The FC system is good in that it’s very versatile. It’s also the same as a Taurus 92. |

The “real” gun it’s based on is hot garbage. Departments bought a bunch of them when they first came out, and then couldn’t get rid of them fast enough. You could buy post-samples for a 4-500 bucks back in 2008 or so. |

They haven’t made anything approaching a “class-leader” since the P7 series. View Quote And that was just because it was the only gun in its class. Having built an MP5/10 and seen the guts up close in gory detail...I am not impressed with HK's engineering on that gun. They took a perfectly functional platform, and rather than designing something to fit the design need, made hack-job compromise upon hack-job compromise, basically "Bubba-ing" the gun to shoot the new cartridge. It smacked me as a lack of creativity. I'll never forgive HK for queering the PDW contract for FN out of sour grapes; that was an incredible dick move to have their state-sponsors cry foul and squawk until the program was cancelled, simply because their cartridge wasn't suitable to the contract requirements (namely the inclusion of a sidearm, but even for PDW usage the 5.7 is simply a superior solution in every way) HK hasn't done anything innovative since the G36, or rather the XM8, to be honest; everything else (including the beloved 416/417) has been highly derivative. FN's been slacking hard since the SCAR, themselves. To my mind, CZ are the ones positioning themselves to eat the Euro-zone nations' lunch in the gun market. Best SMG offering (in terms of performance AND marketability) in decades, a popular assault rifle that has now been updated into a true contender that likely exceeds the current industry leaders, and a solid rep & incremental development of their handgun lines. |

Quoted: HK hasn't done anything innovative since the G36, or rather the XM8.... View Quote Shit, if my best effort was that bad, I would probably stop trying to innovate too. Not that G36 was particularly innovative anyway. It was AR18 wrapped in plastic instead of sheet metal. The charging handle was well thought out though. |

We’re gonna be able to buy a G36?
On a side note, I’m thinking of buying a HK for concealed carry. Any recommendations on which one? |
