First off, sorry for no pics, not my gun, so not snapping photos of it. Anyhow...
A guy at work is getting squeamish about his ARs...so I went to see what he had and see if I was interested. Nothing special, run of the mill home built frankenguns for the most part, but one lower did stick out from the others. Its an LAR Manufacturing lower, but the magwell on the left side has been milled through where the model and caliber are often located from other makers, however, there was a solid section in the middle with the serial #. The makers roll mark near the trigger group was also in a recess, as if the original marks had been machined away. I've seen similar lowers from other makers when a machine malfunctioned and engraved the same serial # on multiple guns, or there was a blem in the roll mark, but never have I seen one with holes milled in the side of the magwell, discounting those "skeletonized" ones no one likes. So has anyone ever seen one like it before? Know anything about it? For $400, I'm tempted just for the novelty of it... |

GSE (Gunsmoke Ent) in FL offloaded a whole bunch of lowers with 2 slots in the mag well like that.

The reason doubting exists is for self protection. Use it. Skip the offer.

Also, I wouldn’t buy someone’s frankenguns You don’t know what they’ve done to it |

Is the model name part of the SN? IIRC different models can share SN but same models cannot.

If you don't want to post a pic, could you at least post a link to a pic?
I'm not trying to be unreasonable. |

More curious than anything. It's got an A.R.M.S. riser and BUIS on it, the barrel is a chrome lined government profile, and the furniture is all Magpul. The trigger group is some funky no name two stage with a weird hammer. If I did buy it, I'de probably rebuild it all and sell most of the parts. I've just never seen a lower like it and thought it would be a cool one to have in the safe... |

I know exactly what you're talking about. If you'd like to sell me the stripped lower I'd be very interested in it. That lower would compliment my LAR grizzly lower.

LAR did (does?) lowers for other brands.
I'm guessing they had a blew run and milled out the prior markings, remarked as their own, and sold them. Normally they have the Grizzley logo. |

Why are we helping OP sell a lower he's too lazy to take pictures of?
Fucken millennials. |

Get your buddy to join arf and pretend he’s a girl. He can start an AMA thread. Someone will buy him a membership. Then they can help him host the pics so we can all see what you’re talking about.
Eventually, someone will fall hard for him, but it’s a love that can never be. He’ll/she’ll end up faking his/her own death and some Cheeto stained babydick will come to GD to cry. It’s literally a win for everyone. |
