I am a huge Guinness fan. I picked this up recently and can’t wait to crack into but kind of want to save it for a special occasion.

Quilter’s Irish Death. Not exactly a stout, but a very tasty dark ale.

Every reply is spot on. OP, try the new Guinness coffee stout. Yea I know. Thougt is was gross too. I was wrong. Give it a try.
Thank me later. |

Mission Dark Seas Russian imperial... 9.8%, heavy on the coffee and chocolate, 32oz growler FTW.
|

Love Guinness and Murphy's. The cans with the nitrogen widget really work well.
Thought I'd never have one again trying to do low carb, but at 10g, that's not terrible. Glad I didn't give them away when I cleaned out the beer fridge. |

If you can find it, the Guinness Antwerpen Stout is delicious
I wish I'd bought all I could get my hands on back when it was introduced. Stouts are generally pretty awesome. I also really liked Dragon's Milk and Kentucky Breakfast Stout. |
|
Who else likes it? I'll get a sixer every now & again. I can only really drink one a day.

Quoted: I like. But I've drank so much Guinness that I've graduated to others. When I go into a bar now I say, what's your darkest beer. If they say Guinness I ask, what's your second darkest. Started out with black and tans at my favorite tavern, and the more I had, the more I liked the Guinness better than the Bass.
A bud of mine makes a wicked dark oatmeal stout, but it makes me fart like a racehorse. |

Just got through a Founders KBS... Not a stout drinker but this was a winner.

If you can find it, Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock is leagues better than Guinness.
I bought a sixer of Guinness to use one for a Ninja recipe. I was going to drink the rest and almost poured it out, it was so bitter. Almost. |

Guiness Imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels 10.3% . Tried it at the brewery the other day and got some for my Dad for Father's day. They also had the same imperial stout but it was gingerbread didn't get to try it.
Guiness Antwerpen might be my favorite bought a couple cases when it came out but haven't seen it since. The Guiness milk stout is pretty good also. They have experimental beers at the brewery tried a vanilla stout that was darn good hopefully they will start selling it. As others said the new coffee ones are surprisingly good having a couple right now. |

Bell's Expedition Stout is one of my favorites. It's the stoutest I've ever had. Hard to find though.

I like it by itself, and love it in black and tans or half and halfs.

Almost any other stout is going to be stronger tasting than Guinness. I like Guinness, just saying it's very light.
I have Pelican Tsunami and Worthy Lights Out Stout in the fridge, I'd say those are more approaching medium heaviness |

I don't care for it, but it's my wife's favorite. She asks for Guinness ice cream every birthday.

Guinness had a "jingle" contest several years ago. I lost, maybe because my submission wasn't a jingle:
Brother Guinness, stout and brown gladdens us and makes us whole. He lifts us up, he lays us down, and dries the weeping of the soul. In a world of shifting sands, he brings us things that last: a hearth in every bottle and a friend in every glass. I purely loved that stuff back when I drank. |
