The worst one I have seen that stuck in memory. Boating accident at 75 mph! The guy lived! Not sure if this thread will survive COC though.....

EDIT: Here is link to story for those interested.... Left link cold.

https://www.thehulltruth.com/boating-forum/409982-splinter-warning-graphic-photo.html

From story: "The good news is after about 6 months, this man made a full recovery after
suffering a shattered hip, broken leg, several broken ribs, internal injuries
and soft tissue damage. The doctors credited his recovery to the fact that
the post lodged itself so tightly that there was little or no blood loss. "

We were camping one night when a boat hit a channel marker. One guy and his dog died instantly.  I went in the water and pulled another guy out.

Sudden stops are very, very bad.

Its weird ... I can watch all the behead videos - blood guts blown up limbs chopped off - behead by chainsaw and every other concievable gore ... and eat pizza while watching - they do not gross me out in any way

But it gives me chills and hard to watch simple leg breaks - arm breaks etc

Not really sure why that pegs my gore meter ? Just thought I would share

And this thread needs a warning in the title for NSFW and make sure no member has his kid on his lap

Lathe accident rear.

I show these to our apprentices to keep them respectful of the lathe.

Wish I had pics or at least a copy of X-rays. When I was 11 I had a double compound fracture of my left arm that required skin grafts, hardware, and 5 surgeries to "fix". Still don't have full range of motion in my fingers but that beats amputation at the elbow any day. My arm looked like a question mark

Question about this....it looks like the cut is clean, was this post vertical when he impacted? Was he just sitting in top of the pole like an ornament?

100% agree with this and was going to post the same thing.  Blood, guts, gore...whatever.  But seeing an arm with an extra joint or a limb snap....NOPE.
